In RPG Vault's latest peek, they go into some detail about the fae that will be in the forests.
| QUOTE | | And though they are not likely to pose any direct physical threat to adventurers who wander too deeply into the forests, they are so indelibly intertwined in the habitat that interfering in their affairs is bound to have an array of unpredictable consequences. |
So how many of you are going to go and see what happens if you kill one of these? And what other ways do you think you can "interfer" in their affairs?

I love the concept! And I don't think I will ever kill one. But I am sure I will be interferring none the less. In my mind faeries are some of the scariest things around. In general I have the rule that it is the smaller, the creepier. A giant spider can be chopped to pieces. But what can you do against 50 faeries? You can't even hide from them. I will take the long road.

I don't know much about the negative impacts, oddly enough, but I do know that we'll have caged faeries you can rescue in various places. We showcased that mini-quest thingy at E3.

I love this concept. I imagine it would work something like "faction" does in SWG.
Basically if I were to kill a Jawa in SWG (nasty little things anyway). I would receive negative Jawa Faction and possitive Tusken Raider (Sandpeople) faction.
What this does is eventually if I create enough negative faction with the Jawa's they attack my character on site. Where as if I build enough possitive faction with a NPC type they don't bother me.
Because Hero's Journey seems much more indepth however I would see this being even better. Perhaps the Faeries could aid you in someone after befriending them.
Or considering it's a forest if you're on their bad side perhaps they can use illusionary effects to get you lost?
I'd be very interesting in seeing if there are other cultures in Hero's Journey that you can have relationships with that will effect your gaming experience.

Getting you lost would be pretty cool. Of course I tend to do that when I explore anyway, but it would be great if they made something look like a dead end, that was really the path out.
And it would be nice to see this with other creatures. That way you can either be a nature person, or someone who nature gets revenge on.
