if you like doing damage then use your Brute but if you want to sit back and watch the show then go with your MM

RE: Brute or Master mind

Well here is the thing, with the mastermind the main reason for making one is to be ale to have other people with you with out anyone actually being there, so being a mastermind will give you the abillity to solo a lot easier, and you will get less damage.
Now if you were to stick with the Brute you will need to be in a team a little more often, i mean they are one of those guys who are better with back up. When you go into a mission as a brute, you can't pull and only take out one enemy at a time with one of your punches. Now here is the good thing if you were to take on a brute you could take on more than one enemy with out your pets. And you are able to give a whole lot more damage which you can take at the same time.
If i were you i would go with the mastermind because at the higher levels you don't always find a team to join. It is just my preference. If you do not agree i am sosry, it is just my preferrence.

RE: Brute or Master mind

Mastermind FTW!

That is if you want to solo a lot. Personally, I do like to solo, but I have a VG and plan on working with teams more in the high-end game. So, I also have an Corruptor alt close behind in the mid-30's for that. Let's be honest, although I love being a Mastermind most, it's not as team friendly when there are other masterminds around. It gets just a smidge crowded. Even in Recluse' Victory.

The real question is: what is keeping you from getting both to 50? Do a little at a time on one then switch to the other. Spend a week or more on one, then spend a week on the other. It's up to you, but multiple 50's isnt a bad thing. Remember; you're not the first to 50 on any server, so relax and enjoy yourself. Finally, if one of your toons is more 'teamable' with the folks you hang with; go with that one first. Just my opining at you.

Brute FTW!

Actually, Sapir is right of course. Get them both to 50! I have a MM at 36, and brute at 32 and they are both build around running with teams. But I found my brute is even fun solo. And "he" is the perfect villain to pull out when you have only an hour or less. Bash a few heads, get some nice xp, and feel all round better. My poison MM is a great asset to a team. Freezing, healing, debuffing. I love the job. But it is kind of dull solo.

So it is like what everybody else said: it is up to your personal preference. And a bit depending on time and team.

RE: Brute or Master mind

STALKER FTW!

Oh, sorry I couldn't resist that. Seriously, like Sapir and Phe stated, what's wrong with takin both to 50? If you like them both (obviously you do, because you played them to high levels), why not continue playing them both. I have a Stalker, MM (Bot/DM) and Brute that I intend to take to 50. They won't get there at the same time, however, they will all hit it sooner or later. I also have a lot of other toons that I will continue to play as well. Don't look at it as a race to 50. Like Sapir stated, the race was over the first day they bumped the level cap. Look at it as an adventure. Experience the new content and scenery. The way I like to play is get one to a certain level and then grab the other one and do the contacts/content that I missed with the other one so you still have that new feeling with each one.

Well duh you want them both to be 50! However pick MM if you would rather be sit back and let your littlies do the work for you, or brute if you want to kick ass yourself! I wouldn't say focus on one, jsut play on whichever you feel, and raise them equally!

RE: Brute or Master mind

If you just want to grind up some levels and get to 50 ASAP, I would say: Take the Brute to Warburg and grind down those Longbow defeat all missions. Specifically the "Destroy warehouse" mission, or however it's worded. No bosses. Just minions to slaughter.

Go with your mood is all i say, also try to farm foes, fine 'hotspots' on the map (ie places where more foes spawn more frequecntly) and kill :)
