I saw the new trailer for SW3 - it looks good.
Here it is:
http://www.movie-list.com/trailers.php?id=starwars3
The movie looks dark like I hoped it would be. Hopefully anakin will stop being a whiney little bitch and grow a pair - deserve to put on Darths Black suit.
Lightsaber duels with Dookoo, Windu, and Obi Wan are probably in the cards, and the trailer show Yoda whipping his little green saber out for more action (oh you dirty minded people!) Anyway, check it out - it has to be the best of the first 3, at least I sure hope it is.
-I find your lack of faith -- disturbing - Darth Vader.
-Life debt can never be repaid, it can only be acknowledged.
-It is well that war is so terrible -- lest we should grow too fond of it. - Robert E. Lee
-Magnificent! Compared to war all other forms of human endeavor shrink to insignificance. God help me, I do love it so! - General George Patton Jr
-War is always a matter of doing evil in the hope that good may come of it. - Sir Basil H. Liddel-Hart

Eh, I don't know man. George Lucas would have had to have done a lot of leg work to fix up this movie to even come close to what the original Star Wars trilogy was like for me. The main problem I have with this instalment of the first three episodes is that Lucas seems to have completely abandoned the storyline of the epic for flashy special effects, lousy side kicks as comic relief (Jar Jar), and some truly melodramatic acting.
I mean don't get me wrong, I loved the musical scores and the lightsaber duels were very cool. But there was more time spent on the duels and the huge battles which were nothing but special effects than there was on the actual story so you only get a very piece meal sense of what's going on behind the scenes of these battles. Besides, who's ever heard of a computer generated yoda anyways?! The guys nearly 800 years old and he's bouncing around like kermit the frog on steroids for gods sake waving that light saber around!!

I agree about yoda being computer gen, BUT, the reason for all the leaping? IMO it's valid, he's basicaly a cripple right? he hobbles around or uses his flying chair thingy, why the sudden change to nimble warrior?
Because he can call upon the force, his body is weak but his mind isn't, and they always said that he had an inmense control of the force, and he is a master with the lightsaber.
He just doesn't abuse the fact that he can tap into the force in that manner, which is why he uses a cane and a chair thingy
But lucas is a child, hence jarjar n co...
I guess I'm back then... :)

I had a hard time with the yoda thing for a long time, but then it suddenly clicked and made sense for me. I mean this is my own hypothesis, but consider this:
When Yoda was teaching Luke to fight in E5, he tought luke a lot of tumbling. When like fought Darth in E5 and E6 he also used tumbling. So there is presedence in the original trilogy for Yoda to use tumbling in his combat style.
As stated above, Yoda was old a crippled so he needed to use the force to jump - I will buy that. However, my guess is his fighting style or martial art incorporated jumps and tumbling - ie Tai Kwan Do (I think).
So i have decided the tumbling thing is simply part of Yoda's race's martial art.
Food for thought. And I know its just a movie blah blah, but I love SW trivia and expanded universe stuff.

PLus it makes sense, he's little, so jumping kind of a must, or he'd be doing some serious knee-capping and ankle slashing damage! The spinning could be for momento with the jump, and like Lonestar said, part of his style, go yoda!
I guess I'm back then... :)

According to all the added stuff in the DVD's the reason for Yoda jumping as such is that the original idea was to make Yoda some type of frog person. Hence the jumping and leaping should make more sense....a little at least.
Thanks for posting that great link! I can't wait for episode III, it looks good (finally).

Ah Episode III - The search for more money
Ok my take on the whole Yoda leaping thing... He's short... he hobbles around on that cane.., can't exactally turn him into a "guy" that can all of the sudden pull off ninja like stealth moves. BUT... if you played any of KOTOR... then you might remember a little thing called "force jump" allowed you to jump directly into the battle.... instead of having to run there... just a thought... I consider Yoda the Force jump master... after all he can't exactally run :)
BTW this trailer is even better ont eh big screen... it's before the Incredibles... :) Which is Really funny

It still would have been much cooler if Yoda had kicked Count Poodoo's butt while yawning and leaning on his cane! That was the Master Yoda I was expecting to see!

According to the old Star Wars RPG (West End Games), which isn't exactly "canon", but comes close, Jedi have 3 basic attributes.
Control
Sense
Alter
Control is what defines the Jedi's mastery over his own physical body by using the force.
Sense is what defines his mastery of his mind.
Alter is what defines his mastery of the world around him.
Yoda, being one of the most powerful Jedi in existance, would have some serious ability in all 3 categories. By using his Control abilities, he can focus the force through his body increasing his agility and physical strength. However, because he's so old and feeble, using the force in that way requires a lot of his attention and focus. Without his force powers, Yoda is weak in body.
At least that's what I'm gathering out of the whole thing.

Ok, I'm coming right out and saying it- I'm a huge SW fan who liked Episode I and loved Episode II (maybe it comes from my main man, Boba Fett).
I bought the book for Episode III, and aside from the par-ish writing style, the story it tells is just... cool.
Not to ruin anything for anybody, but the mission Darth Sidious sends Vader on at the very end of the movie is just going to make Vader fans bleed from their eyes in enjoyment.

"Your presence soothes me!"
Thats the only thing I think is wrong with the 2nd one, romance, no romance. Hated the way they did it in E2 and hated the way they beefed it up in LOTRs movies. Maybe its just me but sometimes I think science fiction/fantasy/action writers need some serious work on writing romance into their books. Never read Star Wars books but at least Tolkien didn't go as far as PJ did in the 2nd movie. What is with the 2nd movie trying to add too much romance? Sorry ranting.

I completely agree. The first 2 installments were, for lack of something better, OFF THE CHAIN style ruthless. They follow the original trilogy, as far as story development, to a T. The first was kinda slow, the second picked up the pace and the third is just gonna blow our minds. I watch the trailor at least 3 to 4 times a day. I can't wait to get my ticket. Hope to see you all on opening day. May the force be with you.

Yes it does. I like how its been getting darker thru out the series. Also if you look at episode 4-6 they get brighter as it goes on. I like how the the story is continous in that way.

teh is a common "typo" for the. it's been used recently as elitespeak for "the".
RoXXorZ can be translated to "Rocks" or "Rules" or "Is really cool".
So "teh RoXXorZ" basically translates to "That's really kick ass".
