| Horrible Supergroup regardless if your villain |

I heard about a supergroup the other day in city of villains called the KKK. Actually, the name of the supergroup wasnt the abreviated KKK, It spoke the whole thing out.
It was horrible to see someone make a supergroup with that name, Im not sure if they were actually being racist or if they were thinking that that was "villainous".
I am suprised that they are not banned yet, If I figure out the leaders name could they be banned? ( asking if it's possible)

I'm not sure about banning, but I know if you report them, their SG name WILL be changed. And I would strongly recomend reporting them. I don't care if they were tyring to be "villainous" that's just wrong.

When someone gets in trouble for having an innapropriate name or SG name, its changed to GenericHero####, or GenericSG####

I've noticed that the villan side of the world is populated by extremely rude, ignorant, annoying people. Namely, your average male teen. I don't mean to be stereotypical, but this was my experience.
Having been a teen male at one point, I am well aware of how easy it is to be unintentionally offensive. With a lack of social skills, a juvenile sense of humor, and complete lack of tact, it's amazing most of us survived to adulthood.
Either, way report them and they'll get the hint that it's not funny (or more probably they'll curse the GM's for having no sense of humor :)

There is game evil and then there is real life evil. When im in villians, I laugh at the ppl who make the dick cheney and george bush's, The satan's, ect. However there are some things that just shouldn't be used as a name or a super group. The nazi's and the klan are two such groups who fit in this catagory. Their brand of evil horrifies people still today.

You are aware that there was a certain villain group in CoH that's a bunch of neo-Nazis, right? The 5th Column were Nazis, even explained in the game manual as neo-Nazis. Now the Council is pretty much the same thing, but Italian instead of German.
And I hate to bring this up, but I saw the Black Panthers SG on one of the servers. No one reported them. They're a racist group too, a militant one at that. How come they haven't been GenericSG'd?
Edit: I forgot to say; if you wanna have a Nazi or neo-Nazi group, fine. Its part of history. But if you go around saying "exterminate the Jews" or whatever, that's a little far. The KKK is too far too, since all they formed for is the racism aspect of the group. If you wanna make an "evil" group in your storyline, fine. But when it becomes all about racism, that's just not cool.

By the way, The KKK supergroup is actually in the justice server, not Triumph.

I think why they included the "Nazi" 5th column group is that the gamers of today are far enough removed from the horrors of the concentration camps that it's not going to directly offend anyone.
Yes, the things that the nazi's did were terrible, and that's why they were villians. There are only small groups of people today that "sympathize" with that Nazi regime.
However, there are still active collections of the KKK and people still being terrorized by them.
To me that's why the inclusion of the 5th column wasn't as offensive. And need I remind you that the players were the ones that called them Nazi's... not Cryptic.
Yes, in real everyday situations the presense of either of these groups would upset many people, however I beleive that the fact that as Heroes we were given an oppertunity to fight the "nazi's" and the KKK group is being PLAYED by real people is the truly offensive part.
and I agree that perhaps having some of these groups is a part of history, no matter how ashamed of it we may be, but there is a line that needs to not ever be aproached in an environment that is meant to be fun.

They do not understand what real Nazism is and the only part of nazism they stand for is racism.

To answer your question the skinhead look was taken by the Neo factions because of the militant look it had. The majority of Skins are not racist. Skins originated in the late 60's they were dock workers in places in England & America that shaved their heads for fear of lice & bugs from unloading ships, night time they would hang in Carribbean clubs listening to "Ska Music a type of up tempo Reggae.
In the late eighties the Neo Nazies took the look then were exploited on shows like Oprah & Geraldo which gave all skins a bad name. One of the biggest affliations all over the world is S.H.A.R.P Skin heads against racial predjudice.
Skin is more of a music lifestyle.

I just really never understood why God (if you believe in God) would make "lesser humans" to white males. If He made women and different races to be spat on and abused by white men, what could possibly be different about white males? I can't understand racism and sexism. I will reveal something about my life here. A while back, I was learning from a 1947 Baltimore Catechism. In there, they put the following scriptual quotes:
"Let women keep silence in the churches, for it is not permitted them to speak, but let them be submissive, as the Law also says."
"Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. For I do not allow a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over men; but she is to keep quiet."
I cried when I heard that, I broke down and, though I don't usually curse, I said that is some f***ing bull****. There has to be equality in this world. If all blacks and women suddenly turned to white men, it'd be ok with everyone. But no, we all have to look the same and think the same way as everyone else, or else they're dirt. That's the basic story of the KKK and neonazis, and I hate that view with such a passion...
