i quit

well since i know for a fact anet wont bother help me im quiting gw, someone hacked my accound right infront of my eyes all my money is gone, all my items, everything i worked a year for just gone like that........ ill stick aroudn the site though :)

I'm sorry to hear that, but yes, I am curious as to how your account was hacked in front of your eyes. And it might be helpful to others out there to hear your story, and watch out for possible threats.

its a long story so ill shorten it, my brother was home when i was out and he thought someone was going to do somethign to my account, this guy said he was my "friend" but when i came home i was like ok when my brother told me, i thought it was my guild leader at first but then later i seen he got off so i connected onto my account and yup, reality hit me all 600k of gold few gold items and yeap... just gone...

wow..

i hate it when people say that things are just a game, because some people work hard and stuff on the game, and some people take it more serious then just a game. i know that i do and if that happned to me i would go beserk

i had it for a year just got my cute mini pet 2 days ago had an easy 1,150 hours on my main guy alone :( i guess i could just start over but so much work to get fissure i hate it! and it sucks even moer becuase this fool who took my accoutn acts like hes 10 years old, if i only knew him in person, awgggggggg

and i know weve all said it and it doenst mean much, but im still sorry that it happened.

Wow!! that is really something!! If I can help you in the game somehow to make up for your losses some just ask.

Let me get this straight-your brother let him into your account? Did the person entered through the game or visited your home as a friend and and talked to your brother? How did your brother know ahead of time what was going to happen?

I let someone into my private guild the otherday and I hope it turns out ok but it was sort of a wierd situation too-I am reluctant to make this person an officer until I know more about her and her family that shares her account. I maybe being paranoid but you really have to be carefull with some of the stories you hear of stolen accounts and guilds that get taken over.

One of my friends completed the game a couple of his characters then for no reason deleted them all. He says by doing this he gains more exp and you can do everything correct right from the start. As you've been through the game before it will take you half the time to do it again.

I feel for you man, it's tough to lose all that crap, but plain and simple it was your own fault.

Yet another case of someone expecting ANet to fix something that is completely their own fault.

If the stuff was so valuable to you then you should have protected it as such. Sorry to sound harsh but over the last year I've been on GameAmp I have seen far to many reports of people raising hell cause they were 'scammed' only to find out that it was their own fault they got scammed in the first place (usualy by misplacing their trust just like you did).

Best of luck, and just be glad that their are generous people on this site cause frankly... this kinda smells like a scam to me ;)

i dnt think you should quit, its only a game, Back in the days when i played d2 i got hacked 3 times, and i had every wicked item on the 3 accounts i made. there is only 1 way i can think of u being hacked and that is through ur E-Mail, it is so easy to hack sum 1's E-Mail if u know there secret answer, thats why u should only giv so much of ur private info over the net.
That the only way i can think u got hacked.
