Since we have no say in the selection of web grenade from the device secondary pool, I was hoping to solicit some insight on how to make it work for me...
Does it work in pvp/pve against opponents with resistance to immobilization like combat jumping? If so, any recommendations to slotting.
Also, is there a way to slot this power so that it works against bosses?

I've used Web Grenade in PvP before, mostly as my Mastermind. It hits once in a while, but I find it misses way too much, even though I have it slotted for accuracy (2 SOs I think). It'll bring down flying/hovering enemies and it comes in handly glueing down the Melee types that really hurt my Minions. As a Blaster, its pretty much pointless in 1 on 1 since you're better off concentrating on attacking. I've hit some bosses with it, but it doesn't usually make them stick, it just slows them down a little. Once in a while, it'll stick but only for about 2 seconds. So again, its a pretty useless power. But it comes in handy when soloing sometimes.

Yeah, what vince said. I use it occationally, mostly just to try to pin down someone that looks like they're thinkin of being a runner. Sometimes when we're having a hard time gettin down a particular baddie, I'll try to use it on him to make the scrapper and tank's job easier, but like he said, it really misses too much to be worth much.

I love the web geranade. This is my ace in the hole while flying. If the enemy gets too close throw it at him and watch him fall. This has been a life saver on many occasions and it will drop anyone or thing that flys. I reccomend a range and an accuracy.
While on the ground i seldom use it

My only character that has this power is my AR/Trap Corruptor, I use it to keep people in place so the run factor of my Ignite power can be ignored.

I use Web Grenade for both an AR/DEV Blaster and a Robot/Traps Master Mind. I basically use them both for the same thing. Locking targets down in things like Ignite and Caltrops so they have to just take the dots.
It'a also great for those missions where the objective is to "not let XXX escape". Granted you have to spam it to hit a boss, but it's easy enough and it's saved me from a failed mission a couple of times.
