Although he has been a leaper since the beginning, I respecced my first character, Gon-Edain, to be a flyer. Leaping around a few days ago, I finally got fed up with the lag and rubberbanding issues that always seem to plague Leaping. Super Leaping can be a fun power but it can be very frustrating as well. It's a little odd flying him around now but much less of an annoyance.
I also used the opportunity to get rid of the near-useless Clobber and took (gasp!) Taunt instead.

i find flight to be one of the least laggy powers. with ss, i was always freezing when i turned,and sj's rubber band thing does suck. fly is also super cool looking

I actually have yet to see the stone man fly. I look forward to it.

I might be broken. I can't imagine having a hero without fly or hover anymore. Jordan has SS AND fly. I run until I hit a wall or ledge then fly over it then run again. It's a pretty fast combo.

Sorry for the late response. At work I only have internet access during lunch these days.
Yes, Fly is less laggy for me. Still not lag-free, but I find that if you fly high up, you can avoid most lag.

I have a bit of trouble with lag, but I still find it much faster to get around with anything other than fly. I also can't stand all the end useage, I guess fly just isn't for me. I like to spend my slot on my fighting powers, and I couldn't stand having to be that slow.

After ED, I found that I had a couple of slots to dole out to other powers. As a test, I 3-slotted fly with fight speed. No lag, and I can move at a pretty good clip. I also have Stamina 3-slotted w/ End Recovery, so end usage is negligible.....Unless you try to fight while "hovering" using flight.
Re: the OP -
I'm a believer that the travel pwer should fit the toon, but you have to do what you have to do to make the game playable and enjoyable. Have fun with it.
..and hey - fly makes those hard to get screenshots all that easier.

Actually, with one end reducer and stamina, I can fly and fight most of the time with no problem. I even keep one to two other toggles running.
