| Which is better: Agile or Acrobatics? |
|
|

I'm planning out my katana/super reflexes scrapper(he's currently lv 12 but I always pre-plan my toons all the way to lv 50). I have one slot left open and don't know if Agile would be better or Acrobatics. Here's what I have so far.
1 Sting of the Wasp Focused Fighting
2 Gambler’s Cut
4 Flashing Steel
6 Combat Jumping
8 Parry
10 Hurdle
12 Swift
14 Super Jump
16 Focused Senses
18 The Lotus Drops
20 Stamina
22 Dodge
24 Quickness
26 Soaring Dragon
28 Dodge
30 Lucky
32 Golden Dragonfly
35 Evasion
38 Elude
41 ???
44 Caltrops
47 Shuriken
49 Exploding Shuriken

Acrobatics provides a mag 1 resistance to Knockback and Holds, and is a toggle power that costs 0.28 end/sec. Agile is an auto power that provides 5.6% defense against all ranged attacks unenhanced. When slotted with 3 SO's, this becomes 8.9% defense against all ranged attacks.
In my opinion, agile is the better power. Acrobatics is not something you will need because you have Practiced Brawler, which is a click power that does what Acro does, but much, much better. Agile may only offer minor defense, but its defense that is always on, regardless of whether you get mezzed and your toggles are dropped. It also doesn't drain your endurace like Acrobatics does, and I know that SR can be a bit of an end draining set, having 3 toggles, each costing 0.24 end/sec. What you need is better overall defense, not more end drain, especially if that drain comes with a very minor effect that is outdone by one of your own powers.
Just my opinion, feel free to disregard.....:)

This is my build my 42 will have soon, Ignore the levels for the slots, those are way off. This is a defence early build, it lets me survive in early levels and the 2 attacks are fairly quick recharge so I don't mind. You will have to slot endreducs in your attacks and toggles(even with stamina and this slotting I have some end issues).
Get agile, Acro is useless to anyone who has mez(unless they're a fire tank or a DA scrapper who lack that KB protection) proctection because anything that can hold through the mez protection won't notice it.

well, first off warron is spot on with the acro/agile thing. also, forget getting hurdle and swift. drop one of them and take health in its place. you will heal faster, and get some resistance to sleep. also, you have dodge on there twice. not sure if it is a typo or there are 2 dodge powers, but whatever

Warron is right, why bother with acrobatics if you can perma-praticed brawler?
