Hi i have heard many ways to get black dye well where it drops excluding Pre-Searing Ascalon,
Anyway i have heard that Northern ShiverPeaks have any black dye drops and that at the mission riverside province there is a group of white mantle what drop black dye Is any of this true?
Where Best place for black dye drop?
Somebody please help me

All drop randomly, but it's usually best not to go make accounts on every GW Forum out there and ask the same question. Thats my 2 cents about that issue.

they drop randomly all over the place, no specific area to be exact

He did that? with the same name? HA HA HA. Thats something I would do if I was stoned and my internet worked. But it would be more along the lines of "where am I?"

I'm thinking your stoned right now. You guys should read what I wrote. It makes perfect sense and yes I read what he put. But I'm getting a little annoyed with all the people making an account on here asking one question or requesting a sig, and then leave and go back to their other site.

Uhh well since drops are random maybe ouside of ascalon. You kill alot of enemies really fast there so u should get a drop or two after i dunno 4 hours?

all dyes drop randomly but the rummor of pre-searing dropping alot of dyes was created because almost everyone is alone at pre-searing and not with alot of henchys so dye drops are alot more there since henchys also get items assigned

There are places that seem to drop black dyes more than others. I'll list the locations:
Pre Searing-Bandits( Best to keep that box and Alain quest on)
Charr also drop Black but usually drop Silver more..
Post Searing- Nolani Acadamy, Fort Ranik, The Great Northern Wall missions( Usually drop from the Charr), and White Mantle in Riverside Province.

just dont focuse on getting a black dye while vermin farming i got 2 so far and ive seen lots of people get them in missions have fun trying 2 get 1 =)

ive gotten 5 black dyes, 1 in pre, 1 on the way to the villainy of galrath quest, 1 while skill capping in perdition rock and 2 in nolani.

I found a black dye while I was being ran to Droks. I killed an Ice Imp and bam, there it was. Outside of Beacons might be nice, but as stated quite a few times, the drops are random.

That kind of matters. Do you have good luck or bad luck? If you have bad luck, you'll never get one (like me). No matter how much you farm pre-searing and other places, you'll never, ever, get one.

Like every one has posted there is NO real spot to just farm for black every time, SO ur best bet is to jsut farm the area of game clear the zones by ur self and hope for black dye to drop,

bummers to you. i dont do a thing with dies, except my armor red which is very cheap. i just sell all my dyes to the trader, cept one black i gave to my friend. its a nice chunk of gold but there is far easier ways to get gold besides hope.

Ive had 1 in pre from a Bandit Firestarter, 1 crossing over from the bonfazz or whatever his name is. 2 from nolani and 1 from the rainforest i cant remember what mission it was i was helping my boyfriend. Me and my boy have been playin for 7 months and hes only found 2 black dyes while farming trolls compared to what i have found so like everyone has said its Completely random

I've been playing Guild Wars for over a year now and I've only had 1 black dye drop for me. I guess I'm one of those really unlucky people, lol. And by the way, dyes drop randomly, whenever and where ever you are. Cheers ^_^

I personally think certain area's drop more dyes than others.
I tested some farming areas. I did a total of about 8 hours of Gates of Kryta farming(not 8 hours straight, it was on and off, but i never took any dyes off my monk). I was farming the undead in the spot where you kill a few and then a whole bunch spawn. Anyway, i found about 15 dyes, 2 were black, 4 were silver, and the other 9 were various amounts of the others.
I also did elona's witht the same situation, cleared my monk and did on and off farming. After about 8 hours total i had maybe like 5 dyes from the mino's. 0 black and 1 silver......and of course a few others....
Anyway, from what i've seen, personally, Undead drop dyes a LOT more often then just about anything else. (i've done more than 8 hours of troll farming, but i would say i get maybe 4-6 dyes in 8 hours of troll farming).
Incase your wondering where i get the time for all this, well, i've done everything fun that i could think of in GW, and i had nothing better to do.

from the pre-Festival day my guildies and I were farming orb and I drop 2 black dye from vermin and mantid everyone was getting black dye that was awesome lol my guild leader drop like 3-4 from mantid
usually I don't sell them, it's so hard to get, and so cheap lol I keep them and use them on my armor :D
Stopped playing Guildwars when Anet ruined the two thing enjoyable in this game: pvp and economy.
