You earn credit by writing new posts that other people might give a few shiny credits for. In the long run that'll be quite slow. Other ways of earning credit are submitting guides, tips & hints, news etc.
Once you've reached a certain amount of credibility, you'll get a level. :P

Hi Bugsy, welcome to GameAmp! Great to see you on our forums.
As you already realized Xaviak had it right. The best way to go about getting that credibility is by posting on the busy guildwars forums. This section of gameamp is hardly visited. And you can't submit other stuff that gets you even larger sums of credibility. So quickly head to the guildwars forums, and join the party. I have given you your first creds there already. Enjoy!
