| A big thank-you to the Ampers |
|
|
|
I signed up for this site's forums because I was so impressed with the calibre of posts and people here, and I haven't been disappointed since. But today was exceptional even for the usually excellent group of people I've found here; I messaged someone in-game who had been very helpful in my asking about pink armor, and Evil Geek not only helped me out in the annoying Aurora Glade mission, but also brought friends. Not only that, but darkparadox, or Sharpy as I call him (Sharp Pointy Object), also helped. And we absolutely, totally, truly and fully annihilated that mission, plus bonus.
What's especially wonderful about these people is the fact that when I paged them first, it was to say hello casually and to thank them for their help here on gameamp. And within literally just minutes I had offers of help, genuinely helpful advice, and really nice friendship. It's reassuring to see that anywhere, and especially in an online RPG. That sort of delightfulness is hard to come by these days, unfortunately, but gameamp's stock is full of genuinely nice people who love the game and love to be helpful. That really means a lot to me.
So I know this is a silly post, but I did want to point out to anyone who doubted, people here are for real, and they are mature, helpful, and fun-loving! It makes playing a lot more fun when you have people around who will back you up. And that is absolutely the truth.
So thanks everyone who helped. You know who you are, and you should all give yourselves a big pat on the back! Because you're awesome, especially since you blitzed through the massive amount of enemies in literally a few seconds. Powerhouses!
:)

Wow sniff sniff thats the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me on a forum about a massively multiplayer online role playing game. Thank you very much. Hey you know what whould be funny? If she put this in rant and rave and put QUIT IT! at the end of the first post. Ahh that would be comedic heaven. But
THATS RASCIST!
god I love my sig.

Yeah, I've been contemplating going back to the AMP alliance because the guild I'm currently in is kinda falling apart. It was so much fun way back when I was in AMP. I remember this time when Silly and a bunch of AMPers and I fought our way from Beacons to Droknar's Forge.

It's definitely always fun with AMP.
I'm currently bored of GW and thus rather inactive but if for any reason I go back, it's the people there.
I've been in the Gameamp Guides guild now for quite a while and always enjoyed it generally. :-)

Aaaahhh, the days.
I remember when I was really helpful (read: really bored) one day I ran a couple of AMP guildies from Drok's to Beacon's. :-)

I completely agree with you. Ampers are the best in-game friends anyone could have. I use to be in the Gameamp Guides Guild, and I had a blast while I was there. Those were to good ol' days when we ran all the way out to fight Rotscale, helped out fellow guildies in tough missions, and sat around and made fun of Botchu (lol, j/k Botchu! we love you man!). I would have never left the Guides if it hadn't been for my friend. My friend needed help getting a guild up and running, so I quit the Gameamp Guides to lend some assistance. Now that my friend's guild is going strong, I'm seriously considering coming back to the Guides. But anyway, I'm glad that you made a thread about this. Gameamp and Ampers rule! GAMEAMP FTW! Cheers ^_^

After reading your posts on this forum it was nice to get a hello from you in the game, it was also great that it came at a time when I could help. The Gameamp Guides [AMP] was set up by members from this site , i'ts aim is to be helpful and friendly just as we like to be here, so of course we do that when we can - it's all part of the fun, I'm really glad you enjoyed it I know we did. Im really pleased osmosisjones and dragoniusx came along both AMP and site staff to boot :)
It was a pleasure meeting both you and darkparadox in game. that was the fastest I've ever completed that mission and bonus.
I know George was dissapointed to leave you, he spent more time hugging you it seemed than attacking the enemy - I realy must train that Flesh Golem to do his job properly, thats the problem with recyclable pets they never live long enough to be trained properly and then they die, get reborn and you have to train them all over again.

Thats really funny, lol wish I had been there, did they pay for runs back ? ;=)
Its great that ex AMPers have such fond memories, it is a great guild I'm lucky to be in it and even luckier to be it's evil leader.

As with any large guild AMPs population fluctuates you should go and post here in the request to join thread.

No, but I don't charge them the proper way either.

I suggested leaving so there'd be space but EG won't let me go. :-P

There was a rule that if you leave volunteerily for three times you can't join back, don't know if that's still in affect.
But as long as that's not the case... I doubt anyone will be put off by having you back just because your noble quest to help a friend in his adventuring didn't turn out quite as you had hoped fore.

What you should do is post in the request to join thread again, if we all got along the first time around and you left of your own accord with no ill feeling then there shouldnt be a problem just be aware that there may be a queue.
And lets not kidnap moonmondays great post celebrating tonights events :=)

AMP is by far one of the best sites for honest, no BS answers and good conversation regarding the game
i havent had much chance to play with many of the AMP members but id love to change that
look me up if you ever need another body to fill up a group and ill do whatever i can to help as long as you dont mind an old fart taggin along
of course ill do that for anyone i know around here too :)

I haven't been in Amp very long, but it's nice-so is the alliance, TC.
I've been lurking this site for awhile before joining-they helped me often...I love the mission and bonus nights we seem to have lately xD thoughs are great!
Was the first time I realized how easy Thunderhead keep mission and bonus was acually-I didn't even realize we did the bonus until they said so...lol. It's great, Ampers/Tcers, are very talented gamers.
It's a fun guild to be in...
Oh, and I'd love to help anybody (been getting bored lately)...even if you're not in guild-just whisper me in game and I'll see if I'm avaliable. "Rena Mimori". ;-) later!
