As the title says this is my little list of suggestions to ArenaNet on how I think they can improve on our Gaming experience. Here is how I'm gonna ask you to agree/disagree/make suggestions to what I've posted. Type the number of the suggestion and then say "Yes -- Why you said yes" or "No -- Why you said no" or "Improve -- how" Ex.
Quote:
1.)Yes -- Why
1. Allow players in an Alliance to see who is logged on AT that time. Like on if you press G you see which members of your current guild are on. There should be an alliance button for this. Or just add an option to the G shortcut.
2. Guild Leaders/Officers should have a different pendant than the normal guild members. The Leaders should have a slightly swankier pendant than the officers. What I am referring to as a pendant is where it meets the neck of your character it has a small yellow/gold oval type deal.
3. What I would like is an option to control a henchmen. Not like BE the henchmen but in the prophecies campaign in the Crystal Desert when in a party with the Ghostly Hero so you may ascend you can click on him and he will either follow you or wait there. This is somewhat what I would like to see happen with the henchmen. I would like to tell them to take the offensive, Defensive, Stay, Or retreat. I think a GUI (graphical user interface) for this option would be helpful so you didn't have to click on each individual henchmen. Do something like List the character names ex. Lukas, Mhenlo. Then across from their names their status like Lukas - Offensive, Mhenlo - Defensive. I think you get the idea.
4. Although I'm almost sure ArenaNet will not do this I'd like for ALL of my Faction (Cantha) characters to be able to use the Back-Up dancers for buying Factions Collector's I also think that if I could if I had both Prophecies Collector's and Faction's collectors It'd be cool to have back-up dancers with your character to have glowing hands. I mean if I spent the time and money (Not to mention gas) to go out and buy collector's instead of just going to Wal-Mart and buying the normal edition I suppose it was my choice but a little more reward would be awesome.
5. Back in the time that Guild Wars is placed there were Barbers. To cut hair. I think we should have the customizability to change your characters hair. Hair color would be cool but at least the hair itself.
6. Also I know this has been said before but here is my version. An account should have a set account name representing all of your characters not your email for your account since that would make it easier for hackers to figure out the account email. But a set name like "Mheli" so you give that instead of just the name to add someone to friends list. Quite frankly I get tired of people who randomly add me as friends just to bug me.
I'd deeply appreciate feedback from everyone. If you think any or all of these would be improvements I'd really appreciate your time for you to critique negatively or positively on these suggestions and help us figure out ways for them to make the game more fun and enjoyable.
nice suggestions, i really enjoy some of them, for reasons you explained. so i guess i'll make this short: HELP THIS GUY TO GET THE REQUEST TO ANET! nice ideas here tha make perfect sence in GW.

nice idea
how about gold for the leader, silver for the officers and bronze for the members.

With a little change in the graphic like make it more fancy/elegant as the rank in the guild goes up.
i think for the hair changing thing if you have that might as well have all other aspects of apearence changable as well and u can buy them for a 1 time fee and switch between ones uve purchaesed like a second prof doesnt make complete sence on how it would work but it would be another thing to do.
Also when u finish a campaign you should share all skills from that campaign with your other characters who have beatin it.
I would also like the storage to have an area for 5 sets of armor for each character so in order to get one armor of each type you dont need to use a little over half your inventory/bags & pouches.
Similar to my first idea when you put a dye on an armor you can switch back to its old one and use any dyes youve put on it at some point to mix as you please.
Runes should be able to be switched like skills aslong as youve put them on the armor.
A cool pet for the luxon side kurzicks get black moa luxons dont get anything no fair.
A Build Option...where you can pre-load up to a set amount of builds, so each time you goto change your build you don't have to go scrolling through the list.
can have a checkbox and a title that is customized to whatever you want to call it. you click on the check box and it puts all your skills in your bar for you. maybe this could also hold your attribute point settings too.
I WOULD LOVE THIS...AS PROBABLY MANY OTHERS WOULD.
Make all chest with key be Gold/ Rare instead of purple or Gold/rare , so all weapons will be cheap to buy and/or to find .
oh and make all old chest in fow and uw drop gold too , that will be cool to have another way (only hoh chest drop gold crytaline) to have a crystalline sword gold/rare for example
And farming code apply to farm chest?
If so forget all I said above.
I love the idea of being able to save builds, it would save soooo much time. I also like the idea for having officers and leaders with little extra bits, but instead could one not choose their add-on, so one could change between have a the pendent's colour change, or some silver or gold stars on the cape or on the shoulder of the character.
All great suggestions, and this is the place they'll get noticed... but if you've ever been in the same district as Gaile Gray when she's on, most of them have already been brought to her attention, on more than one, sorry, more than a thousand occassions... except maybe the differences in Cape Buckles, I think it's a good idea... not necessarily beneficial to anyone - especially me, as I always or usually have it hidden (hides my Armor), but yeah - great ideas.

absolutely! I've said this before as well, not to mention, the game already has dye, why not make it useable on your hair?

RE: Suggestions for ArenaNet
List of my suggestions:: (may have been mention before...)
Cosmetic Suggestions:
Give us more armor and weapons! There isn't much that you can do with the system that is in balance but why not add some different types of weapons and armors? It gets done with every game but why not add some to the ones that are allready out from time to time. (possibly make extra rare armors, like say for instance the armors that the ascalon soldiers wear, or maybe Prince Ruriks armor, the Lionguards armors maybe or the White Mantle, or possibly let us be able to get armors that the enemies wear? Or just wierd armors that are more like Secret than anything:: Tuxedo, Wedding dress, Cardboard Armor, etc. A ginger bread shield and a pumkin helmet is nice but non-event related, really rare items would be nice.)
Give us more Hair and face Options! There is also not very many options for this. I have been in parties where everyone's hair looks exactly the same and so does the armors and colors.
Give us more Dye stuff! Maybe you could give us patterns to put on the armor parts instead of just colors. Say camaflouge patterns for instance, or maybe stripe patterns. This will really make every player look really different, instead of just plain colors.
Gameplay suggestions:
Give us more types of pets! maybe updating this for each game might help too, or let some of the enemies actually become pets (such as the devourers, they would make cool pets.)
Maybe give us a small skill bar (maybe two or three slots) to attach to our pets. You could put several pet attacks on the skill bar and the pet would use them indepently just as a hench men. This would reduce the amount of beast mastery spells that the Ranger has but it would free up some space on that skill bar. They don't even have to be very strong attacks. Say you can give your spider a poison attack that will poison the enemy for 1-20 seconds (based on pet's level, doesn't even have to be based off of beast mastery) or maybe a pounce attack. Just create 20-30 seperate skills that have to be bought from a special pet skill trainer. then give each pet 10 skills that they could possible use based on which type it is. Then they would do better and look cooler than the same two or three attack animations that every pet has.
Maybe possible raising the MAX. stats that we have. this could get a little complicated but bear with me here::: (all this involves having to gain and spend Skill points.)
Maybe that after you reach level 20, you would have to get 50 skill points then you would have to use all 50 or maybe 100 and then you can get 15 additional attribute points to put into marksmanship or whatever. Then give that a cap of one hundred extra or so.
Maybe that after you get a crazy amount of skill points (200 maybe) and then go to a skill trainer. You could spend the skill points on an extra skill slot so now you will have 9 instead of eight. Then for things like missions and PVP, they could be disabled back to eight. Make that have a cap. too, like maybe 10 or 12 (800 Skill points? unheard of!!!)
It could also be possible to make it so you have to spend a skill point to get a certain amount of max. Hp. added to your character. Say for instance::
1 skill point spent on this ability = 2 extra Hp.
1 skill point = 1 extra Energy point.
and then here is other things involving skill points:::
1000 skill points = that attribute that you don't have acess to because it is your secondary profession.
Other Suggestions:::
A mailbox would be cool, maybe go to your local Xunlai Agent storage and click on a tab to get to it.
A better Friends list would also be cool.
Despite there being millions of Guilds, an ingame list of all the guilds, their rank, status, campaign, etc. with a search function would also be nice.
An MMORPG is based on a characters options in the game, and many people play the game for hundreds of hours, for PVP or otherwise. Two million copies is nothing to be proud about, hundreds of games have done WAY better than that. To Raise Sales higher, give the character more options. Giving the character a hundred new skills for each profession every time a new game comes out is not options! You can only use eight of them at any time so chances are that half of those skills you spent your precious time on were a waste. Giving the Characters new Armor Looks for and Only for Factions is not Options. What about Prophecies? You said it yourself that players don't have to own both and online play is free. Why charge them $50 every 6 months for more options? You don't have to give them drastically more, adding just two or three new armor looks to Prophecies around the time Factions came out would be sufficent enough. And adding several new looks for weapons would also help. (Green weapons are nice, but they are really freakin rare, so regular items is what I'm talkin about).
Possibilities for new classes:::
Rename the Assasin to Ninja (if you did your homework, you would find out that the word assasin came from a Middle Eastern word for a type of flower, that an order of people smoked before running into battle. The Flower was called Jassasi or something and it turned into Assasin.) Yes Ninja sounds too generic but is more accurate.
Make say a Pikeman class of character and give them attribute for pikes. (close range, no throwing. Would have the speed of a ranger or an asssasin, but would lack the power of a warrior.
Maybe a Gunner class that specializes in ranged combat more so than the ranger being able to do massive amounts of damage and keep hidden to an extent but has no nature spells or anything like that, just plain technical spells. (Attacks and Stances, like the warrior has, only ranged.)
Kinda hard to think of new magic classes when the ones they have all ready cover so much. (I find it amazing that Anet has thought of any new ones at all.)
every few days someone posts a suggestions to anet post and it is really long and it says the same ideas that have already been said a billion times, and that person thinks they are so great at thinking this idea up, when in fact it's been suggested/said about a million and one times.

Luxons have crabs. And I think the crabs are more original than the Black Moa's, cus they were running around in pre-searing. And about the additional pet skillbar and such... When you do Beast Mastery and normal Ranger stuff at the same time, the Ranger would be overpowered.
About new classes, I still like the idea of some sort of Witch Doctor who spwans (by ritual, not by reaping) some little creature (like a flesh golem, but not degenerating) to have along in battle and back him up, and the witch doctor has spells which cures/restores the (target) allies and with a big focus on skills that give the allies condition transferring. I'll sort some attributes out.
Gnome/Troll/Demon Mastery: For every point spent creatures spawned by rituals have +(amount)% health. Skills from the creautures have benefit by points spend.
Skills: Damaging, Condition bringing, Healing of creature.
Cure Magic: Affects skills that cure amounts of (incoming) damage and conditions, remove hexes.
Jinx Magic (primary): Skills that bring bad luck to foes, either from an ally or directly targeted at foe. Miss->Blinded, Overall Missed attacks, Next Spell->Dazed, Next Attack->Weakness Blind target ally, when attacked, Blind is transferred to attacking foe, Transfer Hexes etc
Black Magic: Some damaging spells, but not too strong, cus the focus must stay on Gnome/Troll/Demon Mastery
It sounds like a little mix, but I'd like to see the magic not too strong and the mastery is the major focus. People play too little with other elements of the game.
I like the idea of pets used by foes in PvE, I mean, the only time we see foes using pets is in that first Luxon mission. And as conclusion, I think they should introduce the new races. Cus the proffesions are running out a little, and mine also looks kinda like a mix.
Races: Tengu (more attack power, less defense), Dwarves (more defense, less attack power), Human (equal, but shows standard for Dwarves/Tengu)

So? Let them. I don't see anyone bragging. It's just showing that more people want it. You're saying has been said more then the suggestions, I think...
On a serious note, i would like some sort of .... well pet extension. Where you could store more than one pet, and each pet woudl ahve its advantages and disadvantages, rather than jsut dire elder etc...
Things like a spider causing poison 10% of the time, and bears takign longer to attacj but better defence or more life.
I would like a stable so each character can keep more pets for different situations. Maybe evern pet armour, and pet weapons so they can cause more damage.
hi peops, one thing i would like to see is armor slots(like we have weapon slots) it would be great to be able to switch armors at the click of a button^^
Many isms are defined as an act or practice by some, while also being defined as the doctrine or philosophy behind the act or practice by others.
How about letting henchmen go to UW or FOW and The Deep and Urgoz's Warren, that way those that are a class that don't fit into what people think they have to have to do these missions can still go there and play without waiting for hours and hours .
I'm neither here nor there but everywhere. I am who I am and nothing more but yet I'm nothing less than what I strive to be.
