i know the word was always "taking hench decreases your chance to get drops", i dont think ive EVER gotten a green drop with even one hench in a party, but then ive had bad luck with drops period on my account where others get them left and right it seems at times :)
does anyone have any definitive answer as to whether or not greens can and will drop with hench ? my experience suggests no..and ive yet to get a single one to drop in Cantha with a hench
I got a crappy half damage green smiting staff in cantha while with a full party of henchmen. You get greens, just REALLY rarely, especially with luck like mine.
never did ToPK or SF with hench .. not into masochism
but i have yet to see a green drop in Cantha at all .. and in on my 7th char through it now. i do many quests with hench or a mix of live and memorex, but all mission with groups save forthe occasional healer hench when i get in a "must have 2 monks even though we have a Rit or 2 anyway" type of group
i got a few greens with hench in Tyria.. most recently the Ice Breaker ... but thats a pretty automatic drop so im not sure it it even counts really
i just seem to have one of those accounts that doesnt have good luck on drops... and dont even get me started on farming.. gave it up, pointless for me as i got so little compared to others on the same runs

yea...you have just as good as a chance to get a green drop with the henchmen as you are when you are with a real party. only difference with henchmen is you don't actually see it drop.
and to answer your question...i've gotten a few green drops while with the henchmen, these were in forest and the sea. Just beat up the boss enemies.
I got one when I did some farming for a bow in Melandrus Hope... I wanted Nunvak Recurve bow, but I ended up with Rot Foulbelly necro green wand. I was with henchman at that time. So yes greens are dropping with henchman, you just have to get lucky....
Every account has the same mathematics in the game. in other words, your chances of getting a drop are just the same as anyone elses. Now, you taking a full party of henchmen and a full party of true people, doesnt give you any better of a chance to get the green drop. If you have a full party of people, some one will get the green if it drops. You wont always get the drop. If a full party of henchmen get a green drop, its the same chance as a human getting the drop. YOu still have the same chance to get the green as anyone does.
Hench do take drops, but it doesnt hamper your chances of getting a green item with them, you still have the same chance at recieving the drop with real people as hench..
E.G. take out 3 hench 1 real player you will have a 1/4 chance at recieving the item, exactly the same if you took out 4 real people you would still have a 1/4 chance at getting your item (thats if a boss drops it indefinetly).
I got the stormray with 7 hench yesterday, I know you could say I just dropped it and then picked it up, but this is a real pic:
I would like to see the drops even when the henchmen get them, just to know what they "steal" from me. Then I could hate them even more... but love them in the same time cause they help me survive....
I have had the best luck of grabbing green drops when I target and kill the boss first, and I make dam sure I get the kill shot on him. Here is a good list of Green Items.
as osmosisjones said ,, a henchie replaces a living player but does not drop the chance of an item being dropped by the dead foe.
I would say its a run of bad luck but lets hope it dont last forever. One of our guild mates had luck like that but now he is getting better drops than me and I was thought of as the lucky one to have in a group lmao.
There is a diff between GW and factions,, as sometimes I will see and item drop and then its not there ,, seems this is a more graphical version of showing party share with henchies. Look for it next time just as the foe dies.

Hmmm i usually have really really bad luck. but one day in Grenths footprint when america had favor i got 2 green drops in a row but i went back and farmed 10 times after that and not one drop...
