ok, i have being dualing UW for quite a while now, and evertime someone said 50/50 i thought that that meant that we would pay entrance fee 500 gold from me and 500 gold from hi/her, and like 2 or 3 times i got like 2 or 3 ecto and kept all to my self........... could i get banned for that, i mean it isnt really scamming? or is it? i didnt mean to.
the comment was about 55 monks, lately most of them that i go with if i get 1 glob first, they will lure everything backwards and try to kill me then just camp there with creatures until they pick it up. this has been happening way too much, anyone else notice this?

You're question first..
I do not think that you could get banned for that, unless you are actively trying to take all the ecto, or if the other person asks for it and you say no..

Yes that has been happening for a while now..it isn't against any rules except 'be courteous to fellow players' but it really is something only a greedy asshole would do, and sadly, there are quite of them around..

yea i said no becuase i thought that it meant jsut for entrace feeeeeeee.......... good bye account that is one year old... *sniff* and everytime i post something on this site i keep getting emails saying no reply its driving me insane

well, ive done alot of 2man smite runs and usually 50/50 means 50/50 everything(entrance fee and globs). im pretty sure you cant be banned for this although if i were you i would either start informing that each keeps what drops for him/her or start splitting 50/50. the way i normally do it is that the person the glob falls for gets to choos to either keep glob and pay other 1/2 trade value or give glob to other person and then they would give you 1/2 of trade value.
as far as monks bringing aggro to you, thats mostly done by the chinese farmers. i always make sure that 55 speaks english and they must call out spellbreaker when they use for the first time. this ensures that they cant get by w/o you(bringing shield of judgement instead of spellbreaker). these soj 55 monks can do u/w without you, (its alot slower) but they get you to pay half of entrance and will get you killed when a glob drops for you.

Its alright Man. Honest mistake but now you know better. I seriously doubt that you will get banned for this. As long as you apply your new found knowledge you will alright I assure you.

I used to dual farm too but I never paid anything else but half of the enterance fee to the guy I was dualing with. O.o
When the first ecto drops, the one who the ecto is reserved to gets to keep it and the next ecto is for the other guy. If one gets 2 ects in a row, he gives it to the other one.
Greedy people might easily scam with this sort of sharing but I always did it with guildies so I really didn't have anything to fear for.
About the main topic: I don't think you'll get banned for that but just in case: Next time if you're unsure about something, ask someone what it means so you won't run into any misunderstandings. :)
