*IMPORTANT* - This is not a contest, yet!
I recently won 50k from the Factions vrs Real Life contest. I already have a large sum of money. I know many people in the game amp community have a hard time getting money, so I decided to give something back.
So, here is how the contest is would work:
Someone posts a request for help in this thread, including their in game name, and times they usually play. If you can help them, you pm them in game, and help them out. Once you help them out, send me a pm on game.
Now, the rules I was thinking about, are things like you can't ask for money in your help post, has to be help with a mission, a build, how to counter another build and so on.
Some people have more time to spend then others, so they obviously can help more people, so I would need to figure out a way to make it even for people who only get to play a few hours a week.
Also I need to come up with a good way to judge one act of kindness versus another.
Right now, I have 2 amulets of the mist that sit in storage, so those can be prices as well as the 50k.
What do you think of the idea? what rules should there be? How should the prices be divided up?

nice idea, how about insted of the healper, the helpeld contact you, cause if the helper contacts you, he could be lieing. if the helped contacts you verifying that player X helped him beat Thunder Head Keep, it woul be less likly that he is scamming your money.

Nice idea!
In fact, helping people is one of my current hobbies. I've had people tell me ingame that they think my hobbie is awesome. And when I'm not busy helping people, I'm researching builds and such; so when someone asks me of a good build they could use for their character, I can easily find one that they can use.
Right now, I'm currently working with an A/W, of whom is now an Axe-assin, instead of just regular Assassin. The build I gave them is working quite nicely, as the build is based on using an Axe with skills that compliment Critical Attacks. Its quite nice actually.
If anyone would like me to help them with stuff such as builds, skills, or even just knowledge of regular game mechanics (trading, weapon modifications, etc), PM my IGN at Abs of Glue (Warrior). I'm also either on my Ranger, Abs of Glass, or Support Ritualist, Abs of Doorknobs. I'm also on frequently, so I'm avaliable alot of the time.

Well met,
You could always write up a little bit of what the helper and the helpee(?) did and put them in a poll for people to vote on, that way no one persons views on what was 'the most helpful' will mean all will get a fair trial :)
Just a thought, does helping you with this idea count? ;)
