Help Improving my Swordsmanship build

I need help branching off of this build, so it is more suitible for PvP. I am W/Mo, and of course, a sword warrior. Here is the build so far:

Seeking Blade - A constant damage dealer

Galrath Slash - A big thrash before using Final Thrust

Final Thrust - Finishes off the enemy usually, because it doubles the original extra damage it adds to your attack (which is around 50)

Balanced Stance - When I'm attacking and do not want to get knocked down by another.

Purge Conditions - When I'm limping or bleeding, this comes in handy.

Healing Signet - To heal.

Healing Breeze - To heal.

Ressurect - To Ressurect others, usually the last skill for most.

So, any suggestions of what I should replace some skills with?

Also, if this helps, I have a 16 armour Celestial Shield with a +49 Health mod, and I have full Droknar's platemail.

Thank you for your help.

Well if your going to use breeze and stuff like that i recommend getting glads armor for the extra energy. Ultimately i find that stance tanking is more effective then using healing IMO. I use gash, silverwing, sun and moon for a big adren spike. Then i use watch yourself for the extra armor. Tiger, shield and glads defense as stances, and then healing signet. Let the monks deal w/the condition removal cause there job is to heal and yours is to take a good amount of dmg while dealing a decent amount too.

RE: Help Improving my Swordsmanship build

Skills:

1. Sever Artery
2. Bane Signet
3. Holy Strike
4. Primal Rage [E] (Factions Elite)
5. Purge Conditions, Riposte (If you know you'll be fighting another warrior, or Dolyak Signet (Not recommended unless you’re in a really tight spot or do not require self healing of conditions IE: Your monk is good.)
6. Signet of Rejuvenation (Factions)EDIT (Woops)
7. Judge's Insight
8. Restore Life

Attributes:

Strength: 11 (9 + Major Strength Rune)
Swordsmanship: 13 (9 + Superior Swordsmanship Rune + Helm)
Healing Prayers: 8
Smiting Prayers: 10

Weapons:
Set: Max Damage Sword 15>50, 20/20 Sundering Hilt and a Fortitude Mod or +5 Armor Mod (Recommended); Max Armor Shield, -5 damage/20% with a + 30 HP mod.

Description:

Designed to damage without using a large amount of energy. Basically this build relies on a combination of attacks and then armor penetration to get the job done. Defensively, you ought to be pretty safe assuming you've got a Superior Vigor Rune, Superior Absorption Rune, and that all important Shield.

Using this build make sure you keep in mind a few things involving the skills. First use Bane Signet and Holy Strike. Primal Rage, watch the damage, it's quite nice. Next, once Primal Rage ends, you may need to cast your Signet of Rejuvenation. Then, by this point you should have enough energy to activate Judge's Insight and simply attack. Use Sever Artery for health degeneration whenever you get a chance if only to be annoying and force the enemy monk to keep up a watch. Remember, war and battles are also about attrition, constant bleeding is annoying for any monk when it’s spammed; every second does count after all.

Remember, skills will be disabled when you use Primal Rage, leaving you open if your health is rather low, so make sure either you or your monk is keeping your life up, otherwise, don't use it. You do have a bit of a self heal; Signet of Rejuvenation which is only there for people to feel better or to simply raise your health a bit to help out without wasting energy. Finally, Bane Signet and Holy Strike should be use when you're not using Judge's Insight or Primal Rage; it's just a waste of those skills effects if you do.

To explain the lack of self healing I’ll only offer this due to my own personal experiences in PvP. To be successful in PvP as a warrior you should never have to be worried about self healing and any self healing skill you have should prove to be as a last resort or low costing and very minor. Warriors will either tank or deal damage, rarely should they ever have the need to heal. If you need to self heal chances are you or your monk is not setup properly and should work on a better plan before entering any PvP environments. 4 on 4 a monk should be able to handle self healing as well as team healing in the event of being attacked by one person. In the event of the monk <--(edit again :/ )being attacked by two, the tank really should have little reason to need a large heal.

BS, at least in RA.

RE: Help Improving my Swordsmanship build

Well, the restore life was a mix up with SoR. As for my comments on self healing it was based on personal experience. Never have I been with a successful team where the warrior is required to self heal and be of any use. Why? Because they're always interrupted. >.> Oh yeah, another example of a warrior class with a very low rate of self healing is a W/N, healing signet = spike time and taste of pain is conditional, hardly reliable.

RE: Help Improving my Swordsmanship build

Well, since I don't have factions (Getting it this weekend. ^_^) I decided to compromise by using some skills people on this thread have already said and mixed it up a bit, this is what I have:

Sever Artery

Gash

Shield Stance

Gladiator's Defense (Elite)

Thrill of Victory

Galrath Slash

Final Thrust

Healing Signet

Thanks for the help guys, if you have any more suggestions for my build just say so. :]

With that many adrenal skills and with two at such a high cost, consider adding "For Great Justice!" to your skill list as the build up time and amount required will make it difficult for the desired spike in that build. You run a huge risk of being shut down before you can use half of your skills.

RE: Help Improving my Swordsmanship build

great post Hiro, credit for you.
Personally, I would not use tactics in a pvp build, mainly because they are used for surviving other warriors, and you dont need to waste skill slots on that. Strength is a more reliable attribute for pvp because it well... keeps you alive. I use salvage slash and hamstring, because those are the most effective/annoying skills a warrior can possess.

RE: Help Improving my Swordsmanship build

now nothing is better than a good 'ol ripp build

1.gargash slash
2.final thrust
3.ripitose
4.deadly ripitose
5.heal siggy
6.thrill of victory
7.gladiators defense\
8.none shall pass

16 tactics
13 swordsmanship

For melee intended foes use both ripitoses spamed with gladiators defense(when they get low hit em with thrill of victory) and of course use heal siggy to heal, for ne1 else use ur final thrust and slash on em , and if those pussys run away then use none shall pass to ground em for u*ta da*

Thanks.

Also, another point with Strength is: Armor Penetration. for a skill based damage build, as much armor penetration as possible helps a lot in the long run.

However, tactics is far from useless, in fact tactics has its own uses, though it is more on the defensive side of things. Tactics is also great for the good old Supreme Commander Warrior build (Shouts, stances, etc.) Some warriors like Warrior/Ritualists are better off with tactics than without as I find Ritualist skills far too energy consuming or low of healing for the demanding cost (for a warrior) to be of any use. Healing Signet is also a great skill to use with Grenth's Balance builds.

Shield Stance

Gladiator's Defense (Elite)

Tanking doesnt work in PvP...
Try something more like:
Battle Rage (Elite)
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Healing Signet
"Shields Up!" or "Watch Yourself!" to help squishies
Bull's Strike
Rez Signet

This build will prove a lot more effective than one involving tanking the opponents.

RE: Help Improving my Swordsmanship build

I have been toying around with a W/Mes build.

Stats
Inspration 6
Strenght 12
Swormanship 15

Skills
Res Signet
Sever Artery
Gash
Standing Slash
Endure Pain
Defy Pain
Physical Resistance
Elemental Resistance

Equipment
Legionnaire's Armor
Armor 80
Armor +20 vs physical
Armor +10 in stance
Max damage sword with 20/20 AP, +30 health, 15/50%
Exaulted ageis physical damage -5 20%, +30 health

Runes
Minor Strenght
Superior Vigor
Superior Asorption

You want to cast either PR or ER before the fight depending on who you want to fight, they are stances so the armor boost from the armor does apply. you don't want to needlessly waste energy, you'll need to restore or chance stances as needed, that's why all the attacks are adrenal based. Defy and Endure are there to keep your life way up.

You guyes realise that he is talking about PvP right?
Dont confuse him by suggesting ripostes or tank stance, even if you sound confused about PvP yourself.

If you want a good build without having to unlock alot of things, stick to the Premade warrior PvP build.. It works good.
