The Act of Kindness Contest - Begins

The Act of Kindness Contest

Why: I recently won some money in another game amp contest, and I already have lots, so I would like to give back to the community.

How it will work: If you are having trouble getting a mission done. Can't seem to figure out how a build works, or how to counter another build. Want to learn how to farm. Pretty much anything you are having trouble with. Post it here, include a description of your problem, and your in game name, and times you usually play.

Other people can come here, and see your posts, and pm you in game and help you out. Once they help you out, you send me a pm on the game amp forum.

Once the contest ends I will pick the 10 best acts of kindness and post them here, people can then vote and the top five will win a prize.

When it starts: Monday July 24, 2006

When it ends: Monday August 7, 2006

Prizes:

1st Place: Amulet of the Mists and 15k
2nd Place: Amulet of the Mists and 10k
3rd Place: 15k
4th Place: 10k
5th Place: 5k
Note: If game amp admins also want to give out some credit for prizes, I wouldn't complain. I may also add to the prizes. But I will not reduce them, they will only get better :)

Rules:

You must be a game amp member(not guild, just forum member).

Do not ask for money in your help posts!

You can help people multiple times, however they do not add up, each helpful deed is an entry. Think of it like a ballot.

Note: Rules may be updated if certain problems arise.

The goal is to give back. I do also hope that by playing together people in the community may make new friends, and hopefully creates a stronger relationship between us all. I hope everyone enjoys the contest, and good luck.

Ok, I've found Abbadon's Mouth to be tricky, seeing as there is no-one in Tyria! I live in the Euro servers and need help!
I have little time during the week, so weekends are my "mission days" if u get what I mean.

Well before what i post what i need help for, i just want to say that i can help anyone with anything in tyria with my tank, or help anyone with anything in cantha with my necro :)

I really need help with unwaking waters, my tanks been stuck there due to lack of groups :(...i really want to get past this stupid mission but i cant henchie it, and besides the fact that theirs no ppl ever there, its hard!

OK...I'm soliciting for an act of kindness.

Here's the problem, THK. As a tank I cannot even pay my way into a group. And my Guildies are online when I'm offline. (All 3 of the active ones anyway. 25 or so inactive.)

I'm not after bonus or anything, just a group of non-imbeciles for mission. I'm usually on around 9 PM Eastern Time (US).

My necro needs help with Dunes, it's the last mission i need to ascend, but the problem? My necro is only lvl 13 :(. It's the last pve character I'm making and I plan on dualing UW on it, doing UW on a 55 is fun for just so long.

Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

would running someone around the map be counted for this contest?

I'm just wondering since i'm remaking both my monk + necro in prophecies again so i would like to get them run through to the outpost at the desert/ all of southern shiverpeak. The necro tho will not be created until after the nightfall preview event. Yes i do realize this is a large request therefore i'm not gonna hold my breath waiting for someone willing to help me out.

I have a Warrior (at Abbadon's Mouth/Unwaking Waters), Support Rit (at Gyala Hatchery), Ranger (at Cavalon), and MM (still on Shing Jea).

With my Warrior, I can pretty much run anywhere in Tyria, except Droks, and a few places in the Southern Shiverpeaks.
My Ranger and Support Rit are avaliable for any quest/mission/help at Cavalon or earlier.

I am online alot of the time, and am avaliable from 10 AM - 4 PM, and a little after 11 PM (all Central Times). Just PM my IGN - Abs of Glue (Warrior), Abs of Glass (Ranger), Abs of Doorknobs (Support Rit), or Abs of Mustard (MM), and let me know how I can help you.

EDIT: My Warrior is currently "stationed" at Shing Jea. I usually go 'round helping other people new to the game. So I may be a little busy if you PM me. If I am, I will get to you as soon as possible.
