GW factions and Guildwars

Hi,
I have both Guildwars installed on my PC. When I start GW I only can play in the Factions world.
Is it possible to uninstall GW and reinstall only GW, without Factions? I tried it, but I did'nt succeed.
I would like to play GW first, and later on to install Factions again.

U need to add the acces key of GW to ur GWF account that should solv ur prob
EDIT: this can be done in the login screen by pressing "Create account or add acces key" and follow discribtions

U got both on one account...U can take a boat to LA and be back in prop and when u want to go back to faction take the quest from *skills guy* and meat mhenlo and then go talk to the boat guy in LA and he take u to factions

first: Welcome :D

second :P : you need only 1 guildwars to install, guild wars factions has all updates with him and Guild wars normal need to load 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000,01 files so its smart if you instal Factions and yes you still can play in GW normal world, try to do what Mit Surgi says :D

Thank you for your help.
One more question. Is it possible to play GW and GW Factions on two accounts. I have them now on 1 account. So I mean if I log in on 1 account I can play GW, and when I log in on another account I can play Factions.
So can I change my account in 2 accounts ??

No, once the accounts are merged, you simply can't seperate them again.

I think what he is sayin gis that he has them seperate....he didnt merge them.

So no, since you instaled them both, and made seperate accounts for both.....you no longer can merge them.

Anet needs to be more specific in the whole "merging" thing on the actual game case itself.

With that note, they should add a feature to merge pre-existant account, by entering the serial number and account info (login email and password)But only way that would work is if one of the two accounts only has 2 characters.

If it is not possible to create a second account, is it possible to create 1 account for GW on another email address and another account for Factions on the new email address (or a second new email address).

Norrod if i may ask why do u want an account for GW and 1 for GWF? because the way u got it now (i think merged) u can go with ur charrecters to both places, if u would have 1 GW account and 1 GWF account u wont be able to go with the charrecters in GW to go to GWF and vice versa, also u cant get all skills for all profisions

When I start GW I only can select character for GW Factions and not for GW (I can choose 2 characters, the other is for GW).
Because I choosed a wrong character in GW Factions I would return to my original GW character.
Or is it possible to start from new again ???

I don't know if I merged it.
I just installed GW Factions over GW original.

How do I change this ?

There should be an acces key in both boxes of GW and GWF.
I think u only activated the GWF acces key so so far ur good.
There are 2 ways u can go now:
1. u just activate ur GW acces key and get 2 accounts
2. (this 1 will most peeps advise) u press "create account or add acces key" in the log in screen, follow discribtions for add acces key and add ur GW acces key ot ur GWF account
hope this helps

EDIT: once u do either 1 of them i dont think u can still change

Some players prefer keeping their Prophecy and Faction's accounts seperate so that they have more character slots available to them. If both accounts are kept seperate the player then gets a total of 8 char slots, if they are combined the player only gets 6 char slots. I personally combined mine, just easier in my opinion.

The esiest way to check if you have merged accounts is to check the number of character slots u have available.

If you have 6 - you have merged the accounts.
If you have 4 - you haven't merged accounts.

If you have 4 follow Mit Surugi's instructions on how to merge.

Also, If you want to start in the 1st GW (Prophecies) - choose to start a 'Prophecies' character and not a 'Factions' character.

Good morning.
I checked my GW and I have 6 characters (so merged it).
When I log in to GW, I have two areas (characters) to choose, they are GW (Prophecies) or Factions. But I only can choose Factions and not Prophecies. When I click on Prophecies nothing happens.
So when I want to play GW (not Factions world), I have to go to LA ?? This will take me some weeks (it's a very long end I think).
Is it not possible to re-install everything on a new email account (on the same PC) ? and first only install GW and later on Factions ??

If u can make 6 charrecters then u got it merged thus u must be able to play GW and GWF, i think it will be best to write a support ticket to a-net about it because its very strange (doing nothing part when pressing prophecies

im unclear on what your saying is it you cant figure out how to get your characters out of cantha (factions) into tyria (prophcies) or is it you actually cannot create a prophecies character or cannot play your old characters from prophecies any more. If it was the first situation simply go to keineng center the northern most town in faction and go to the docks and talk to the captain who will take you to lions arch. If it is the second situation id say talk to anen about it. There shouldnt b a situation whre you have to install on or the other since even if you dont have 1 of the 2 games you still have most the stuff on your computer.

Assasins and Ritualists are the 2 new professions for FACTIONS. they can only be made in the factions campaign. monk, warrior, elementalist, ranger, and mesmer are from prophocies and can be made in both campaigns.

You can of course take you factions charecters (assasin and ritualist) to prophocies after you get them to the town Kiaenge center(spelled that wrong) and do a quest called "chaos in kryta". you can get to the town by heading north once you leave the newbie island and make it to "the marketplace", then head north through "budek byway". doing the quest will drop you of at lions arch, which is around halfway through prophocies, although you can backtrack and do all the other missions.

I first had GW only with a Propencie character.
Later on I got Factions and installed it.
Now when I log in I only can click on Factions and not on Prophencie (normal GW). The character from Prophencie is visible in the screen after log-in, but when I click on it nothing happens. When I click on Factions I can play Factions (world).
I hope you understand my problem now.
I want to play with my old vharacter from Prophencie and not with my character from Factions.

odd....you didn't perhaps make your prohpocies charecter with a temporary account, one of them 14 day things they iuncluded with teh factions preorder and such? if the temp thing has expired that may be why they are visible but not playable.

If the prophocies chars were made with a full fleged prophocies account, then you must contact Anet support.

nice hijacking...why would you want to remove factions and the 2 extra char slots? does factions add that much hardrive space? I do not think there is a way, but you coul alwasy harrass the support people.
