corrupt = shiro
infects with a creeping darkness = afflicted
heroes = me
elona = cantha

The first dozen times or so I fought the Afflicted I had goosebumps because they were just darn ugly! specially the rangers and rits. A friend of mine said he wanted to take a sharp object and burst all those bubbles there bodies seem to be made of.

its a pvp event not a pve. So yes you can use your current characters.

I can't wait for the event, though I'm kind of mifed by the fact that the extra char slots aren't going to be for sale until god knows when lol. Oh well, I'll just scrape my assasin since she sucks anyway.

about the same time before factions compaired to the expcted time before nightfall there was a pvp only weekend like this will be then they will prolly have a pve event too so no this will almost deffinetly not have pve stuff this weekend.

that preview event was just before the game came out and was only for those who preordered. Before that the had a pvp only weekend available to all-this is gonna be the equivalant of that

No inherent effect. Many Dervish Spells, especially those dealing with movement or cold damage, become more effective with higher Wind Prayers.

I have a feeling the expansion titles are going to follow very similar plot lines... after all, for something to need a band 'o heroes, it's got to be pretty bad... :-)
I have no problems with the plot:
evil dude(ette) does something evil
brings more evil into the world
world needs saved
heroes band together and kill stuff
world is saved, heroe's take up farming.

it being released shortly after factions should not hurt it content wise because there are 2 teams working on the series. One did Prophecies, and the other did factions, hence why some of the problems in factions only happened in factions and not in proph.
