Ho-Hum

I just had a friend move back to her dads, and I miss her very much...I'd like a legal way for a 13 year old to try and not miss her so much...

any instant messaging program should help and a lot of today's youths are using them. heck i used them up until about 4 months ago and i'm 23.

just call her and talk to her. it may be awkward the first few times you call, or it could be awkward every time you call her until you're dead. i'm not a big talker, especially on the phone to chicks, and i mostly listen and just try and keep her talking. hell, i've even fallen asleep while on the phone talking to my girlfriend, i did it 3 days in a row too. well i should say psycho hose beast ex-gf. but you get the picture.

and chicks really like it when you write them a letter too. just go to the supermarket and buy a small card so you dont have to write too much since its a small card. they love that stuff. right, ladies?

I would if she wasn't living in Canada. And we'd be talking right now, but her Dads house has very little internet.

Honestly if you are trying to not miss her so much having contact (like phone calls or IM convos) won't help that at all. I've found that when I loose a freind, the easiest way to not dwell on the loss is to go out and make some new friends. Or you can just play a bunch of CoH, and find other ways to distract your mind (watching movies, reading, and what ever else it is 13 year olds do now a days).

When I was younger I moved around a whole lot, so I had to deal with loosing friends on a constant basis, so maybe it is easier for me now because of it. But I've found distractions always work the best.

Now if only I could find these distracions u speak of...But serously, She will be back sometime to visit her mom, I'd just like a way to get by till then. I don't want to get over her...just to keep myself sane during the wait

Ahhh but will she be moving back, or just coming back to visit? If it is just a visit, won't you have to just go through the same exact thing you are going through right now all over again?

You say that now. But it will make things harder for you. If she isn't moving back, you need to get over her. I'm not going to lie and say it will be easy (it is NEVER easy), but the sooner you accept it the easier it will become.

I dunno, I think I'm with Death on this one.

But yeah, thejeni's pretty much right. I know it's hard and you like her, but it's better to just let it be and get on with your life. Let's see, how's that saying go..."There's plenty other fish in the sea." :) Besides, if it's meant to be, she'll come back for good eventually.

I am still young in my head. But my wife just laughs as I come home from softball and realize that maybe I am slowing down just a bit.

I used to play 3 nights a week, now it is just once a week it usually hurts the next day or two.

On topic: I would have to agree with TheJeni, you need to just work at moving on. You shouldn't try to forget her (it sounds like she was someone special), but you will be amazed at how many someone specials you will have before you graduate, go to college, find a career, etc... Then it will happen, you will come across that one truly exceptional someone special that blows all the others away.

That is the one I married.
