Ok ive let enough time go by so that Dark Melee could be tried out. How is it? Please give me your thoughts good or bad i dont care. I was eye-ballin Dark/Regen Stalker.

honestly, dark melee is a pitiful stalker set, but its awesome for brutes. The best brute build i know of is dark/stone.

I dare say its more a brute thing, though it sounds better with stalkers, dont fall into that trap!

/Regen is only good against DoT damage sure it has two Heals in which makes it some strength vs Burst damage
Dark Melee seems good for a Stalker Since Touch fo fear is a pseudo Placate and its -Acc Component in all attacks Dark melee is also a Good set for Scrapping and oh yeah DONT take Shadow Maul thats my advice

Ive got a 20 dark melee / regen stalker..
I love it very very cool.. and shadow maul is totally cool.. cone attack that lowers the accuaracy of all you hit.. great for solo and its very easy to lure enemies around a corner/pillar/obsticale to line em up.. id say its prolly better for a soloist/duoist so you can control it..
wish I woulda made darkmele/sr though.. high defense and lower the accuracy seems to good to be true.. specially with siphon life to counter SR's lack of anything besides deffense..

I have a 42 DM/Regen stalker who I get suprised reactions at like "I didn't know DM was that good."
I know there are more damaging primaries, but I love DM.
No hating on it please till you've given it a chance.
It's easily reworked for both PvE and PvP.
It's a good stalking set for soloing, and scrapping set for teams.
Find me on Freedom and I'll show you how good DM can be for stalkers.

Hey Shadowruler, in case I have missed it or you slipped in the back door, Unwelcome to Gameamp!
I actually have not tried the Dark set in Villains because I had a Kata/Dark Scrapper that didn't go to well for me. But hey, I'd be willing to give it another try...I have some slots left somewhere for another alt...***damn, now have to find time to work, yet another toon, into my playing rotation...***

Regen is still a very good secondary, especially for new comers to the game. Because Stalkers life can be a bit squishy it is always nice to know that yor life will be gonig up quicker and its always useful to have a spare heal.

DM/SR is considered to be one of the best sets for stalkers by some, thought it doesn't do as much damage as some of the other Stalker primarys when combined with SR, DM reli comes into its own, with all the accuracy debuffs in DM combined with the dodging advantages of SR you'll never get hit so what does it matter if it does a bit less damage, if your never gonna be hit oyu don't need to rush ;)

As a lv 42 Dark melee/dark armor Brute, i find DM quite interesting.
Ive always liked brutes alot, loads of melee dmg, loads of fun. imo.
Most people tell me when i whine about "OMG I cant dmg it!!!!11" they just tell me that DM is good, but not for brutes. they mean its best for scrappers.
But somehow, my melee dmg seems to rock people in PvP. My acc isnt always good, but i can drop a invul tanker in seconds. Hate SR scrappers. *shiver*
Ive picked every single power from Dark Melee. guess its a habit, but i find all of them equally useful. Dark Melee is a good set combined with Dark armor, the ultimate hybrid.
One thing i dont like about DM is.. no knockback. you REALLY miss it after grinding 42 levels with no knocking-people-off-of-roofs and stuff. but thats just me.
