WII or PS3
i want to clear this argument here and now. i think the ps3 is better, BUT the wii is cool to. they are both cool, but the ps3 is better. i want to start this topic and i want only answers with clear resons why the wii or ps3 is better. i will update this list:
wii:
new pricipal(moving ur hand to move a thing on the screen)
nintendo games(zelda, mario, matriod prime)
price
looks nice in meusmesmo's apartement
free online
more fun with party games
ps3:
awesome grafics, just not beliefable.
playstation games(kingdom heart,final fantasy,metal gear solid)
moving with hand principal(to bad not so wide as the wii)
cool looking
free online (the same quality as xbox live)
thing on the ps2(200 million more consoles more sold then the gq)
good connections
it's just an super computer but then as console
check e-mai9l, surf on internet
well for me it gotta be the Wii, new ways of playin, cheaper than any other console.
PS3, they are havin too many problems with it, price is £400+, no develepers want to make games, and they just always make remakes of exsisting games. and the console always look snearly the same and the controller is always the same.
Defintly the Wii, Graphics prob not the good but have more fun on Nintendo's games.
Well the PS3 is going to own. It has an amazing processor, gpu, everything. It supports blu-ray which is a great format, better than HDDVD and holds more. It has LAN support 0.0......wire and unwired connections. The thing is like an amazing computer, but it's console. It's also going to have future hardware upgrades.
that's an easy one obviously the Wii(u forgot that was free online too) i gonna ge this one since it's ALOT cheaper than the ps3 the funrate for the games is higher and ofcourse the nintendo games (zelda, super smash brothers, metroid etc.)

oo plz dont start to lie. the controler the feet are gonna be longer,he is gonna be lighter,ect ect en u try u can find more then 20 differences.
atleast 20 develepers are making games allready, and they aren't remakes.

I've never give much interest for any of the Nintendos. :/
But If I'd ever get any of the new insanely expensive onsoles I'd definetly go for PS3. Why? I'd give you guys 2 hints:
Metal Gear Solid.
Final Fantasy.

There are and will be devs for it just like any other plattform.
remakes? Why don't you figure out a game that is totally new and has nothing to do with any older game?
There's no such thing as totally new anymore in any form. No books, movies nor games are new. Everything has a reference to a some other, older thingy. Like most books have references to bible and such and so do games have references to older games.
The controller? Why would try to modify it, if it works great? Would you endanger something that works great for something that might be total crap?
The looks of the console? Dude, I don't stare at the console the whole day, it's the looks of the games that matter.
tbh the ps3 graphics dont look much better than the x360, besides if you already have a decent PC what's the point in getting a ps3, a decent PC is better :D.
I'll be getting a Wii, because the games will be unique and there will be new and different things to do, unlike ps3 and x360. Also it will own for party games :D.

u rlly never took a close look on the graffics of the ps3. the graffics of the ps3 are foto-realistic, the graffics of the xbox aren't even close to that. and never say the the xbox even comes near the ps3, because that not true
PS3 and XBOX360 are the same thing. They are competing with each other, and frankly it's the same tired games i can play on my current xbox. so with the wii i'll be getting more interesting gameplay and innovative games that are actually fun to play, rather than rehashed version of games already available.
again sony is going with a media that will probably fail just like the UMD has.
sony donesn't understand people don't want to upgrade everything they own, we already have the movies. it's not much difference and it's way to expensive.
the only good thing that will come of BlueRay is that maybe regular dvd prices will go down ;-/ here's hoping.
and i'm going with the Wii-all the way! <- this is the system that's gonna pave the way for future gaming...not just prettier graphics of games we've already played.
i hope the PS3 will fail, as the 360 pretty much has already.

That story is over a year old, so I can only imagine how many more subscribers they have, since the 360 comes with some free xbox live service. So yeah, the 360 is far from failed.

Oh come on, there's no point in this thread since everyone has their own little console that they support and it seems to be too much to accept that your console isn't no.1 -.-
This thread only calls for flaming since no one seems to take a neutral point of view and instead just defend their own consoles and refuse to see the pros of other consoles.
There's ups and downs for every bloody console out there, just accept the fact that none of them are perfect. :/

Who says it succeeded? I'm just trying to prove that it's far from failing as you said. I would say it's somewhere in the middle of success and failure, possibly leaning more toward the success part, but only time will tell.
wow so everybody here has about $660 to spend on a ps3? wow can i borrow like 300 for my wii and game?

Ever since i've been playing guild wars, my PS2 & XBOX have been collecting dust in my entertainment center. If i decide to buy a "next-gen console", i'll be leaning towards the WII simply for these 2 reasons
1. Price(roughly about $200.00-250.00)Not exactly sure but better price then the PS3.
2. Old school games from the Nintendo library(NES, SNES, N64) Via download.
2 million isn't much actually, i would be impressed when it was 50 million.

Conclusion: According to you, it would only be impressive if 1/2 of all U.S. households were subscribers to XboxLive.
Mabye you should think about the senseless drivle that courses through you brain cells before you have anymore "diarrhea of the mouth" on these forums.
I'm getting the Wii, sure the Ps3 is good and all but i'm not willing to pay that much for its cost i could get the wii and 8 or so games to go with it.

Well ,as far as I know U.S is the home turf of X-Boxes. Just like nintendo is the king console in Japan.
