stop being retarded whammos

Every time I go do AB, I notice some crappy defensive, sometimes even stanced, healing warrior/monk. They do severe artery and gash as attacks and the rest are crappy healing spells. In Alliance battle, warriors have to be damage dealers... A defensive thing wont help out. Whenever a mesmer or a touch ranger goes against a defensive war, hes screwed. Pleeeease start bringing some attacks and help out the team :)

Also, people complain about "OMG I CANT KILL TOUCH RANGERS". well, there is a GREAT skill you can take called Wild Blow. It kills the stance the person is using so you can kill the touchers in a second. I dont understand why I rarely see people using this skill. It is one of the best warrior skills.

So if youre a warrior and before you go alliance battle, check to see if you have few heal self skills, lots of damage... and wild blow :) /clap

watch yourself
last 2 skills are up to you (edit: hamstring is nice... also for typos)

if your strength is high enough, you can get 3x 7 energy w/ flourish. All three of your attacks cannot be blocked or evaded and you can spam them pretty well once you get the hang of flourish... :-)

It's always funny when I'm using my warrior and I start attacking a lone warrior. Then he starts using ripostes, to which I just stop attacking him and go kill someone else. I don't need to 1v1 those riposters, why the heck do they think that a full riposte build would be useful?

The only people they can kill with a riposte warrior are idiots, and you can kill idiots faster with offensive skills.

I love my riposte, d. riposte, a. parry build, but it is pretty much only good for PvE (or idiots, like you say... :-)... and to be effective in PvE, you have to have a team that will give you the time and space to agro the baddies... :-)

just curious, but doesn't haze, by definition, HAVE to be seen? unless of course you are referencing haze as a state of mind... as in, i'm "in a haze." in which case, of course it's unseen.

I enjoy playing a warrior in A-Battles... if you play it right it's fairly easy to blast those touchies out of the sky.

wanna know the funny thing

I took my wammo out of retirement and finished profecie with her, well we did ring of fire all 3 mission + bonus on first try (we had a very good group) did most of mission and master in faction with a guildie of mine that has a monk to follow and PUG and guild group alike

my buddy that was tagging along with my warrior was hey man that character is pretty good

then we get to the deep and as I gatter aggro I noticed that my mending is gone I go like oh oh,,, and died

well my buddy told me,,, man you starting to bring back my atrayed of wammo,,, we both laugh at that

so in all it may not necesserally be a good / bad / best approach but sometime an oversite on the player part

for instance did Nahpui last night with my monk hold and behold for some reason my heal party was gone from bar so I told them right after we went through portal they said no worries we will adapt, and we did it was the first time this mission went smoothly (no masters for my buddy but mission is done)

so yes all profession can be good / bad / best just because you have a better build and meet a lesser built of the same profession, just ask yourself, why is he using these skill instead of that skill, it maybe cause of equipement and all,

like my wammo I MUST use mending cause of my axe, so that is my weak point I loose mending I loose my life plain and simple, I have a screenie of my wammo holding Shiro at bay for 30 minutes with only menlho in party, we just could not do any dmg to one another, was hilarious

but anyway this is my 2 cents

My best AB build never uses Wild Blow. If I can't damage through a stance I'll go hit a softer target or three. AOE axe skills and poison deal with most stuff.
As for defence, Auspicious Parry is brilliant. It works to charge adrenal skills, and block attacks, and you can spam it indefinetely. It's also great to build adrenaline if blinded. The best defence in PVP is to kill the other guy first.

I use my axe 70% of the time, and I never use mending. I bring healing signet just incase monks are having a rough time.

You could just carry two different weapon types. Or 'sheathe' your vamp weapon when not in battle.

Then it frees up your skillslots for another attack or stance.

Why is it so bad to be a Wammo? Me and an ele were in Ra and our team left besides us. I was a ripose with rip, d rip, shield bash and mark of protection for defence and some other attack skills (not gash and that stuff though, Power attacks) We took out an entire of 4 by ourselves in under 4 mins and he was just a nuker. The melee died fast and all the spell casters did almost no dmg and even teh mesmer died fast so why is it so bad?

i really hate wammos, but they can be deadly. I took this bar to RA and owned, 2 glad points

-Earth Shaker
-Holy Strike
-Stonesoul Strike
-Frenzy
-Healing Sig
-Rush
-Res Sig
-Smite Hex

Ran up to a mesmer, frenzy's, gained agrenaline while he tried to degen me, i used smite hex (removed his hex + did dmg), then earth shaker and combo'd holy and stonesoul strike for an insta-kill.

Though you really get 1 main type of wammo, which is one with some maintained enchant (mending, watchful spirit, balth's aura, essense bond)

there are good wammos. When i played a monk one time i had a wammo who used succor. He was smart enough to realize that the monk(or lack thereof) makes or breaks (most) teams in RA

what I do not like is I have a W/mo and everything thinks i'm Wammo because of it. :( Only 2 monk skills i have is healing breeze and ressurect. Rest are damage or knock down.

:(.. then again I do not like pvp

yes, u r r8, but it only show why some Wo r kind "noob", soz about telling this, but Wild Blow is a pimmary skill on the actual "metagame", essencial on pvp !! Simple like that !!

OH yeah and someone said that a warrior can easily "pwn" a toucher. WHAT BUILD IS THAT? even the most experianced people ive seen in ab got destroyed, no obliterated by touchers becuase they just take the health right back. (TYPOS FTW)

You're right, you see, builds have counters, so please stop that incoherent babbling(stfu)

When i play warrior in AB i'm almost always defensive, because i can take down outposts all alone and i can absorb huge amounts of damage for my other team mates, while i as an offensive warrior only can hope that the enemy i'm trying to kill doesn't have a monk to protect him.
Let the elementalists do the damage, the mesmers and necro's do the shutdown(and necro damage). and the assasssains do the killing. and let the rangers be touchers or snarers..

errrr, warriors endurance, healing breeze, purge conditions, 5 attack skills = touchie dead *shrug* i have killed touchies 1 v 1 several times with my warrior. just depends on build you are using and build you run up against.
