Dwarven Tactical Fighter Build

Dwarven Tactical Support Fighter

1-10, pure fighter
Race-Dwarf
Alignment: Lawful or Chaotic Good

Stats: ( only base stats shown )
Str-18, +2 at levels 4 & 8.
Dex-12
Con-10
Int-14
Wis- 10
Cha-6

Levels
1-10 FIghter

Feats
LV1- Combat Expertise, Weapon Focus ( slashing )
LV2- Improved Trip
Lv3- Power Attack
LV4- Weapon Specialization ( slashing )
LV6- Improved Sunder, *player's choice.
LV8- Improved Crit ( slashing )
LV9- Stunning Blow
LV10- Greater Weapon Focus ( slashing )

The level 6 feat can be spent on another Weapon Focus as I did - though Iron Will or Luck of Heroes may not be bad to boost your Will saves.

Enhancements at 10
Dwarven Tactics III, +3 to the DC of your combat feats
Fighter Str III
Fighter’s Strategy V; +5 to the DC of your combat feats
Fighter's Action Boost IV.

Skills - 4 points per level:
Intimidate. This is not a needed skill for the build & points can be spent elsewhere if wanted.
Jump
Swim. Point could also be used to elevate a non-class skill instead.
Balance. NEEDED skill with the new trip mechanic.

Static Reward Gear:
+3 Str gloves -Tanleroot
Con belt - tangleroot
Iron Manacles ( if CG ) - Delara's
Chaos Guards ( if LG ) -Xorian Ciher ( not static- but well worth getting )
Optics goggles - S. Threnal

The key to this is that Dwarven Tactics and Fighter's Strategy's +'s to your combat feats stack. At level 6, I was able to trip the General in Stormcleave on Normal pretty much at will - and the occasional giant in the Giant Caves on Elite. At 7th I tripped Helios on Hard with the first swing, making it a much easier fight.

Look for gear with a high Vertigo ( trip ), Weighted ( stunning blow ) or Shatter ( sunder ) bonus. Right now at level 7, I can have a +9 to all my trips and sunders when I have my weapons with +4 modifiers equiped. Even now, I only *need* them against bosses I don't want to miss the trip with. At level 10, I hope to have some +6 mod gear - with +8 mod from Enhancements. A +13 should be pretty sweet...

RE: Dwarven Tactical Fighter Build

With the new Enhancement system, make sure to Max out your Trip and Stunning Blow lines in Fighter's Strat. Also make sure you gain the top rank in Dwarven Tactics. This will make sure you still have the highest possible trip and stun for controlling your enemies.

I dropped Improved Sunder with a Dragon Shard, and took Cleave instead. I've found the change to be much more effective.

This build has made out like a bandit in the AP system overhaul. My character is a lot more effective than ever.

RE: Dwarven Tactical Fighter Build

Great Info. Last week was Spring Break for me and I had hoped to download the demo for this game but did not get the chance. Maybe next holiday I will at least check out the trial. Thanks for posting here.
