| How to get a bear in pre-searing |

OK I just started a ranger and I was in foible's fair do the ele quest for exp. I saw bear tamer 1K per bear, I was like cool you can tame bears but I am not paying 1K for it. I mean I'm in pre-searingI don't have 1K (I don't farm in pre). So eventually I got someone to tell me how to do it and now I want to pass that info on. So here it goes
Step 1: get a partner
Step 2: go outside an kill of all the stone elementals walking around (sometimes they interfere)
Step 3: stand back out of aggro range and let you partner aggro bear (dont attack). Bring him back to the road (don't know if this is a must but it worked better for me)
Step 4: Keep the bear on the outside edge of your aggro circle and as he is using brutal mauling cast charm animal. At the same time your partner should run directly away from you bringing the bear with him.
the bear cast break charm but he is too far away for it to work (This may take multiple attemps). Now you have yourself a bear for free. Best of luck to anyone who wants one.
NOTE: you still have to charm a stalker to comlete the ranger quest so do that first.

Don't think I knew that before hand. If I ever have another ranger in pre-searing I may have to try that. Thanks! :)

As far as I know, you can nolonger cap Bears in Pre. Would you mind posting a screenie or two, of you with your new friend. ^^

I did it yesterday, and sorry for now you will have to take my word for it, I am at work and don't have access, and have no idea how to put a screen in a post. So if yo uwant to give me direction or a link to direction I can try to post one later (sorry I'm old and kinda new to the whole forum thing).

Jonny isn't lying, my friend from my alliance helped me get one in pre, you just need a strategy too it, like Jonny explained.

yeah bears have never been removed from being able to cap them just made a bit more challenging, but still very doable.

My ranger has a pre-seering bear as well obtained through this method. It does work!
