(This is in off-topic thread)
I was just thinking about the game, since I just saw the poster of GTA-San Andreas in my room. I had a little idea to make the game alot more realistic.....GAS
If there were to be gas in the cars, then you wouldn't be able to run away from the cops for hours on end. You'd actually run out of gas, your car would die, and you'd have to get out and run like hell!
Thats just one thing I'd like to see happen. Anyone else have any other ideas on what should be put into the next GTA?

I got a good one.
How about we have the ability to have tons of people fighting eahch other W/O cheats.
that would be awsome getting a ton of people to just due it out.
Then killing them all and getting swat sent after you.
Then killing all of them and then going on a 5hour(in real life) killing spree.

Honestly, i think GTA is not worth the hype. The graphics are nothing special, the storyline is nothing special (i.e. you just got out of jail go commit crimes or something), the gameplay is nothing special (shoot,drive,steal,run,fly), and the only marketing advantage it has is because of the violence.
I would like to see them try do something more with the game, maybe have a larger city and stuff with more to do.

id like to see it more realistic in the following ways:
you could fill your car up with petrol at petrol stations.
buy a house and buy furniture for it.
i was going to add morebut i forgot em :(

Bit all it needs is lots of violence to be fun.
I've spent literally hours just commiting acts of hate against humanity. And then killed everyone else for the heck of it.

Well there are 3 fairly large cities and a what seems like a giant country part. I find it fun because you can do whatever the hell you want in it. Nah mostly i like it because its just like a SIM except better because your given a storyline to go off of.(makes it easier) I, for one, really liked the last GTA I've played it through 1 1/2 times then started to play GW again. What I would like the MOST is if there were online play.
Something like having X amount of gangs. In the beginning you start off with some other noobs to the game. The Noob Group learns how to fight and shoot and then they get to pick which gang they go to (don't just pick, you have to do certain things for certain gangs before you can get in). Then once your in the gang, you just wreak havoc, do missions, steal stuff, blow up stuff, kill stuff, run away from cops. I'm talking more along the lines of a game like Everquest or WoW...except this would be on the PS2 or PS3. (no online fee's please =P

Personally I LOOOVE GTA games. They're fun, that's what a game is supposed to be. Graphic are cool and everything but they don't make the game. GTA is pretty open ended which is a huge perk. By the way, you overprotective mothers you know what you can do? [the next paragraph has been censored so that a mod does not have to] :D.

i didnt say i disliked it i just said its not as great as everyone says. I can play only a little over and hour in each sitting before i get extremely bored and leave. Violence is the only thing it has going for it =\

What could be added to the game? Well In my opinion an online mode would be awesome. You and your Gang (Other human players) could take over some turf and you could have massive battles with rival gangs. I just think that'd be an amazing addition to the game. I really like your gas idea, and myabe there could even be a speed limit system added, so if you're going insanely fast past a cop, you could start one of those freeway chases like on TV :D
But I could honestly see a menu where you and some friends could join up and form gangs. Your gang could earn reputaton for each rival gang defeated and you could move up and play against stronger opponents. Just an idea, but I really think that this would add an entire new dimention to Grand Theft Auto.
Another mode I'd like to see added would be a 4 player Battle mode. For example if you and some buddies all want to play, you could hook up 4 controllers and battle it out for all out conquest or team victory.

I don't really see the difference. Everyone that bought the last one and liked it is going to buy the new one online or not. The only thing that I see as a problem is the hardcore, taking it too seriously gamers out there. They might start to think their in a real gang and start acting all gangsta, yo

Read the post carefully before making yourself look like an ass. The government is already jumping all over the game offline. I don't see what would be the big deal if it went online. Though I wouldn't doubt that people would use that as another reason to attack violent video games.

I blame the pareants for the violence. Online gaming would just mean that people have another outlet to vent there anger, hate etc. In short it would be halo 2 online or BF2 except with tons of people killing each other at once in a more unconventional setting.
While there are a few cases were the child was indeed of the legal age to buy the game and thus screw themselves and the millions of other gamers if they misinterpreted the game there the parents shouldn't be so trusting.
For instance, A 10 year old kid who lives 5 houses down from me just got Resident evil 4 and gta vice city for his birthday. Stupid Parents? Yes.
I saw a kid go up to the counter at my local gamespot yesterday(this kid is like 12) and asks them to sell him the game god of war. The guy asks for his parents permission to buy it. The dad doesn't even look at the rating and just says "yea, Whatever". And the cashier even told the dad that the game had sex and gore in it and the dad says I better not see this game lying on the floor a week from now. Thats it. No shock, He didnt even seem to care about the fact that he was helping to poison his kids mind. That seems like some serious iresponsibility to me.
And im positive scenarios like this happen everyday.

You guys do know that people have shot up schools and killed innocent people and blamed it on GTA? That's why the Government and News make such big deals over it. I think there's even a petition out there to ban the game. I read all this in the news and it was on TV a while ago.

The people that shoot up schools then blame it on games is so they don't get either
A: Life in prison or
B: The Death Penaltly
Its like saying your insane except you don't have to look like a crazy...even though you probably are if you went on a shooting spree.

Well I think there's one thing almost everyone here could agree on: They should force you to take IQ tests before playing ANY online game. This could eliminate quite a bit of the "Noob Population".

I think that's what happened with rappers..they started thinking they were gangsta : /...All the lyrics, they are just created from GTA experiences.

you may all say well the chances of some kid going out and really shootin up a police station are very slim. but when that kid does go out and really shoot up a police station real people die, now it really doesnt effect our daily lives because we just see it on the news but think of this: how many of those police officers had a husband/wife and children? how many families lose a parent because one kid decides to be an idiot and mimic a game. now it may seem like i am overreacting but about 2 weeks ago, i was at the state FOP (fraternal order of police) convention in pittsburgh. and at the banquet on the last night we were there, the state lodge handed out awards for bravery and courage under fire. there were 2 police officers that made the ultimate sacrafice and leave a family behind. one of those families still has their mother but the other one now has no parents and must be raised by grandparents. Thats the end of my story. Now maybe this has put a little perspective into why people react to these games in this way. Oh and on a side note, the children of the one officer got a 10 minute standing ovation before and after they went up to receive their father's award and there was not a dry eye in the crowd (including mine).

In all honesty this doesn't just apply to a certain genre of games. I personally think that all those ESRB ratings above E just mean "don't take this game too seriously." Whenever I play GTA, its not to take out any agression, have fun running over people (ok well maybe but only because its not real), or whatever, I just play it to relax for a bit and enjoy myself. Its the same for all of my other games, whether it be Guild Wars or Thief or God of War. None of that carries over into real life, and anybody that does carry it over isn't worthy of enjoying themselves via video games in my personal opinion. It takes a certain caliber of person to play a game without acting stupid, and that caliber of person is the kind that has an IQ of at least 100 (I do believe kids in school today have an average IQ of 80, which is kind of sad. Of course we all know that people on GameAmp have a higher IQ)
