I've decided I'm gonna roll myself a Hunter, and I wanted to know, whats the best race for it?
I was thinking either Dwarf(Gun bonus) or Night Elf(Dodge bonus). But then the Orcs got the Petdmg bonus which could only help.
I duno. Help me please =D

Orcs = 5% more pet dmg
Trolls = 5% dmg against beasts, +5 to bows.
NE= High agility. (Agility determines the amount of damage you'll do with a ranged weapon. Not sure if strength has anything to do with it)
Dwarves = +5 to guns but low agility
I play a hunter too but I didn't really look at the stats. O.o
I chose orc because trolls and Night elves had such an ugly shooting emote. :S

I rolled a Night Elf hunter (/gasp) and the agility bonus is really quite awesome. As a hunter, agi adds not only to your ranged attack power, but also, dodge, crit chance, dps and melee attack power. Strength does come into play with melee. You will find all the hunters, gathering all the +agi bonus they can find, so.. naturally, being a NE hunter, I have an edge. At 60, with a markmanship build, I find my aimed shot crits doing ~2 to 3k dmg! I would give anything to see the squishies face during PvP when I off them with 1 shot. During leveling, your pet is very important, so a +pet dmg for a orc is nice. The +5 bow/gun skill is nice too, but nothing compares to the +agi bonus of NE's.
That being said, if you gear properly and spend your talent points well, no reason why you can't aspire to be *almost* as good as a NE hunter, even if you roll troll, orc or dwarf.
