Shall I start playing?

Hi all its good to find a AA forum.Most ppl on turkey doesnt play or know about this game so Im asking it to you guys.Im playing WoW for 1 year and Im reaaallly bored from the game.Same things everytime.I want to try some diffirent games.Should I buy this game I mean do you guys recommand it to me? I tried to play trail but when try to install it after I download it this error comes up :( "The source file is corrupted" but as I see from movies and screenshots it looks like a really funny stuff.I also like this kind of vehicle destruction games, I play alot games like Twisted Metal etc.

Im waiting for your answers thank you all :) ohh and btw is there only 1 server in whole game?

Hi Icetralk. Welcome to GameAmp! Great to have you on our forums. I am probably not to baest person to give advice, but I'll be the first. I have only played the trial version since I am still addicted to City of Heroes. But from what I have seen it is good fun. Just like in wow you start simple and as you level up your car gets better and better. It has a large world to explore and destroy and private mission zones. Everything you see can be shot at and destroyed. Including buildings. Great for stress relieve.

It is true there is only one server. Originally there were more, but the game did not become as big as expected, and they merged all servers in one. That way the dedicated AA players are all together. And making it easier for new players to find people/guilds.

But since I only played it for two weeks and can't tell much more. I will leave some more sales speeches to others. Since this is the AA fan site you will, of course, only hear positive stories. But if you are looking for any new game, be sure to check out some of the other GameAmp sites. They are all full of MMORPG crazed fans.

thank you for answering my post :D I only play specific online games you know the ones like WoW or this one.I played KO UO SWG Anarch Online etc. The best one was SWG but since combat upgrade and NGE came up it sux now :S than I start WoW and become addicted but after 1 year im bored from it too cause there is not much things at the game in the name of PvP.I like PvP games cause if you always play PvE at an online than I would go and play Oblivion! I want action and PvP based online game :D I didnt like Guild Wars cause its again the same thing sword shield magic, but AA seems to be the type of game I like since I play Twisted Metal or games like that alot.Whatever I will keep waiting for more recommendations and info.Thanks again! :)

It was my pleasure! It is always great meet fellow addicts. Our network is dedicated to the games you love. We don't deal with console or stand alone games. Unfortunately GameAmp started after Anarchy Online came out, otheriwse I would be camping there. We only have the new(er) games. But anybody that played (and liked) AO is a friend of mine :)

I don't want to stop you from playing Auto Assault, but have you looked at Lineage II or RF Online? Both very cool games that take PVP to the extreme. Also have a look at Exteel, although that game will not be released until December (probably).

Hmm Exsteel looks cool.I know Linage 2 its again middle earth age XD I think best choice for me is Auto Assault as all the other games are in age of middle earth.I will buy it soon hope to play with you all soon :)

Hi guys its me again and I still havent bought Auto Assault yet because after reading the review of Gamespot I changed my mind a little.As they say the game is a bit like KO you know you just grind xp, get better gear than go for PvP.Also as I read the game is low populated and there are some sound and graphical bugs, the game mostly takes place in instance game maps like GW.But I think the game might be changed since NCSoft fixing bugs by patches.The thing I want is an updated guide that giving proper info about game's current state! I would go for trail but both full game and trail version I downloaded came up "corrupted" and I cant download all of them once more cause the limit of ADSL at Turkey is only 3gb!! Pls help me and give me a detailed report about games current state so I can decide what to do...

Guys cant you give a quick answer! In like 1 hour I will go for buying it and I still have questions in my mind :S By the way I forgot to ask totally how many patches do we download after installing game and how much MB are they??

Sorry, Icetralk. I can't help you much. I did have sound issues on my AMD 2500+ 1GB memory PC. But I have onboard sound, no separate sound card, and it has been a few months back. I assume it has been solved. Mangoacid is the real guru, but I am afraid he is still sound asleep. It is only 6 in the morning where he lives. I know he has been playing since the game came out more than half a year ago, and he still plays. Which means to me it must have good features to keep him happy that long.

I apologize as well for such a slow response.

The game has fixed many of the supposed bugs. That review is VERY outdated. They have fixed many issues and the game is running nicely. As for the population...they merged the servers to fix that.

The instancing is untrue. At MOST, 50% of the maps are Instanced. Very much different from GW.

The game is a blast...and is not "Get gear, do pvp." Most players don't even do a lot of PvP. They either make a new character or do the epics. Either way, PvP is not the GOAL, but more of a reward at this point. And with the new Battlemaster Equipment, it will be even MORE rewarding.

And to answer your question about the updates...you may want to spend an hour or 2 with that. There was a major update the fixed those issues that were complained about. I don't know offhand what size it was...but it was large.
