Google should be more aware of it's ADs..

If I've understood it right, Amp can't decide which site ADs the google decides to put up in here, right?
So now I'm very disappointed in Google. Why?
They don't seem to take any responsibility or think what they advertise and where!
I find it to be ridicilous to advertise power leveling and gold -selling ADs here in Amp, probably the most unlikely place to catch a client for such lame offers.
Now I know that the ADs are like googled there with the words that appear on the site or something like that. O.o
I just think they should come up with a better idea to put ADs since advertising thins like that kinda irritate me.
I wish I could say a hello to the bigboss of Google with a HUGE nerf bat. ><

Yeah, it seems that google's philosophy is quantity over quality.

I use adblock with firefox though, so I don't ever see any of those things.

Sometimes the ads can be fun, though. I had a post talking about my heroine, and google ads came up with a Methadon ad. In an other post I was talking about PM's I had sent and immediately google ads was there to help me solve my PMS and PMT problems.

Yeah, it's called
NoScript. Get it, you'll love it. You can pick and choose what scripts are allowed to run on your page. With this site, I allow Gameamp to run, but not the 3 other "sneaky" ones.

You are correct. Google doesn't let us pick and choose the ads we want to display.

But the reason they have so many of the gold selling and power leveling sites is because those are the people paying to advertise with google. And since google does word association with the ads, we get them here. If this were a site for something other than gameing, I'm sure we wouldn't ever see them.

I thought it was against the EULA or something to sell in-game gold for real money? And if so, why aren't those places closed? O.o
And if it isn't illegal, future games should put it in their that agreement list thingy that you have to accept when playing any game: Any sort of in-game gold selling is illegal and punishable by death...or atleast a serious bad-arse ban with a cookie. ><

It is against the EULA. And I'm sure lots of those places do get closed down. But there are millions of them, and the gaming companies would have to hire a lot of full time staff to work on just taking them down. They aren't willing to do that.

NoScript is the allowing or disallowing certain Java scripts from being on a site.

Which I have, With also Adblocking with filterlist.g.updater :)

then bam.. no ads, no unsave javascript. :)

But yeah.. I have put up over 3 pages of links on my adsence not to allow and when I did. They showed up 4 times more. Reverse dun ya think?

Up until now, I have only had NoScript installed and that kept the ads off this page. Now I have Adblock too, thanks for the linky!

So basically, Blizzard is advertising something that in my opinion is illegal then?
Can't they sue Google for that and get it shut down? I can manage with other search engines. O.o

Btw, does anyone know if there's any customer feedback for Google where I could send them a small "thankyou"? :P

Blizzard isn't advertising the gold selling sites. Google is. And it wouldn't be google that needs sueing, it would be those individual sites.

Yeah, I meant Google. I really shouldn't think othher stuff while typing the other. ><
Yeah but what I meant was that it really doesn't help Blizzard if Google advertises something like gold selling.
And it might spare a guy or two from buying gold if they couldn't find any gold selling sites by googling.
So, if google just stopped advertising every sodding thing they get their hands on, the world would be a happier place. Even happier if they'd send me a cookie.

I would assume that Google advertises the people who pay them. And I'm sure the gold companies pay them quite a bit.

Sadly I doubt these gold selling sites will ever be gone. To many people use them and keep them in business.

2 words : MEGA BLEH! ><

For the love of donuts can't they say /NO for them? :/
I mean you don't have to do ANYthing for money. I wouldn't run naked with a chicken on my head around my school if someone paid me and especially not advertise for some Goldselling cookie snatchers! >.<

Ah well, like you said, there's way too many lazy arses around paying for such things. :/
