Competitive Weekend of Fun 15 August 2006
During the weekend of August 18 to August 20, you will earn double Kurzick, Luxon, and Balthazar faction in the Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry competitive missions! Additionally, all PvP characters that have access to Factions will now be able to participate in these missions simply by talking to the special Luxon Diplomats or Kurzick Recruiters that will be located in the Great Temple of Balthazar! The double faction fun starts at Noon PDT on Friday, and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday, with the PvP character access remaining open even after the event ends. Come join in the fun this weekend watch those faction points rack up!
Still, lotsa faction per kill sounds good, and thats about 2.5k for a win :D

i dont wanna sound like a noob but i thought aspenwood and jade quarry were AB, since i know they arnt now, how do i get to alliance battles? and how much factions do you get there per win and kill and stuff (ps im a kurzick)
this is a stupid event. i'd rather have a double drop weekend again. i could care less about having faction points, all it is is a "look what i got". maybe if they had other awards besides jade and amber, it would be more interesting to get the points.

THEY DO!!!. Not just amber and jade, but there is more to it in factions. The alliance's are in a ranking system just like guilds only posted IN-GAME on the map you use everyday. The #1 Kurzick alliance gets HzH and the #1 Luxon alliance get Cav. So they are ranked. My alliance(Leader) is in Vasburge armory ATM. Making us rank 6 or so. I havent spent 1k of my faction on that amber. Its a waste to farm faction for amber. you get amber easyer by farming gold then buying it for 800 gold each.
