Hey has anyone else noticed the Longbow Mechs stationed around AP and it's entrance's and exits. THe other day I was playing and ran into one right by the base portal and then there was one by the entrance to Steel Canyon.
I was just wondering if anybody has any speculation or if the devs are just implementing something? Or is it something that generates every now and then?
Just wondering:)

Could these possibly be the temp power mechs RV veterans show off with around AP?
Oh, Hello Mr. Jurassik! Sorry about that arrow, it wasnt aimed at you. I'll just be on my way now... *flees*

im not sure they were both lvl 50 and they were alone as far as i could tell.

I don't know what they are for but, I wish they would put a couple around Luminary in Talos. Those drones there don't do crap. 2x this week I got slaughtered by ambushes while I was in the training screen. That really didn't make me happy..LOL. Sorry to jack the thread.

Every time I've encountered one, I've been able to tell who summoned it. I've also always found them loitering by a door or gate the summoner probably passed through.

Euhm... I didn't know you could get them as a temp power... I thought you could only use one of the 3 avilable in RV only.
How do you get them then?

If memory serves me from the training event you have to amass 1,000 points in recluses victory and then exchange these for the temp power at the RV longbow warden

You get points in recluses victory by capturing pill boxes, defeating sig villains and also killing other player characters. Once your side has full control off the zone and the 5minute reversion begins you gain extra points.
If you have 1000 points at any time, or when the zone reverts(resets) you gain a temporary power of a longbow mech robot.

Okies thanks, that mech will look nice in my temp power collection.
One more thing though, how do I check my current amount of points?

If i'm not correct, i think you go to Menu/Personal Info, or press J...then click on the PvP tab under your personal info.

*buzzer sounds* oh, i'm so sorry, that answer is incorrect :)
If you do that, you'll get your pvp rep, not the temporal points for RV.
As previously stated, defeat turrets, capture pillboxes, take down AVs and defeat fellow villains to earn temporal points. Once you have 1000, and win the zone (although it may not matter, not sure) you'll get the temp power automatically. After the 5 minute reversion, it will be awarded.
nice power, but only 1 time use. Sometimes the temp can withstand some firepower, sometimes it dies within 5 seconds..
With the 1 time use clause, i consider people who spawn them in AP fools. (no offense to anybody who actually does this). you're just wasting a temp power, and since pillbox farming is "dead", it would take a lot longer to amass 1000 points.
In order to check how many temporal points you have, it is displayed in your nav section, top of the screen, where the North-East-South-West directions is. (assuming you have your nav where it was in the beginning)

i know that this sounds like a noob question but how do you tell who the creator was?
bcuz when i did a target lock on them they both were lvl 50 but i didn't see anything to suggest that they were golems or anything else.
do you have to click on actions in the target box will that give the info that your looking for?
and if they aren't creations of someone else is something big coming that would require these mechs to be stationed in strategic areas?
just wondering...let the speculation begin:)

You don't look at the target box you look at the thing itself, below the name of the mech is the name of it's master.
Regarding how it displays it compares like this:
On a player:
- Title.
- Name.
- Badge title.
On a pet:
- Nothing.
- Name.
- Name of master.

then these weren't pets because they didn't have anything in their name except "LONGBOW MECH" no title or master name.
so that brings me back to my orignal question: Does anyone think something bigger is coming, I was under the impression that the Longbow only use the mechs for big things that the regular police drones can't handle?

I can field that. I've seen it in RV enough times. If the owner of the mech moves far enough away, the mech goes from blue, and indicating who its owner is, to purple and it doesn't display the owner. Usually, the owner zones, and the pet is just left standing where it was when the owner zoned. That would explain why last time i was in AP, 2-3 mechs were at the train station doors..
