Welcome to the site, Shiva333!
I have not playd a stone tank to a high enough level yet to test out granite armor, but I know we have a lot of expertise here. I'm sure someone has an answer for you.

1st off, Welcome to the Site!
Now, to answer your question, Granite Armor is a great power because it gives great defense and even better resistance, something which is lacking in the Stone Armor set up until now. It also has a fairly low end cost, considering that it does all you need it to do at once. If you plan on firing off attacks as much as you can, as well as running mudpots and rooted while attacking, then I would suggest slotting 2 End Reductions, 2 Damage Resists, and 2 Defense Boosts. With even level SO's, this will give you a cost of .287 End/Sec, with a defense of 28% against all but psi and toxic, and resistance of 70% to all but psi. You get hit alot less, and when you are hit, it barely phases you, lol.
One thing to remember with Granite is that you are already slowed, and rooted will really kill your ability to move around. Also, the recharge rate of all of your powers is dropped by 70%. Running hasten will enable you to get your attacks and powers up when they are supposed to be up, and other than external buffs, hasten is the only way to do this. Expect to live a long, long time, but don't plan on killing anything by yourself, at least with Granite on.
Hope this helps,
