Ok i currently have dial up where i play guildwars.... Not my fault its just where my house is put we cant get dialup cuz the nearest tower is 5 feet shorter than what we need....................... (lazy jerks)
Is there anything that i can do to help me load new areas and such?

well, if you have a friend that has high speed, play from his pc, copy the dat file to dvd, and paste it in your game folder over the original dat... but i would only see this as worthwhile if there is a large update or something

Welll at my mom's house i have high speed, and since i already installed it on the dialup (i had to do it overnight 3Kb/sec........................)
So i guess theres nothing i can do execpt wait it out?

I have no problem with Dial-up, but to help try puting -image at the end of the target line in the Guild Wars shortcut.

Downloads and Decompresses all the compressed files in the gw.dat file. This will improve load time in new area's and get you up to date.
Remember to remove -image when its done.

even if where u are u cant get dsl u can still get cable, thats what i had to do

err ya try doing a couple thousand file downloads at 3kb a second... this comp has high speed but its 5 years old and every time i try to play it here i play for like 5 minutes and then it auto shuts off to a Blue screen saying Windows shut down to prevent damage to yoru computer :o

i got High Speed Internet/cable and I never have any problems here at home. The only problems I get are server side ones and even thoughs dont happen to much.
EDIT: Also if yOu have multible computers it may help gettinga better router. Also Trun of any back ground compter/internet activivties.

yea i dont even run Internet explorer when i play, the only thing i have running is minsweeper or solitare to keep myself from suicide :-P
