I'm sick of people bitching that the Auction House will make GW look like WoW. An AH has SOOO many adnvatages!
1: No more "Price Check on....." threads
2: Noobs won't get ripped off anymore, becuase they can check the Auction for the real price.
3: No more wasting hours of your time spamming "Selling so and so"
4: Just put your item for auction and log off!! It'll sell BY ITSELF

and that yes, an auction house has many advantages, we all know that. you do bring up good points, but i am affriad that, as everyone knows, it probly will not happen any time soon.

It shouldn't be a question of if an auction house would make the game more similar to WOW. It's a question of if it makes sense. If you ask me, an auction house just makes sense and should be a staple in all MMO's just as much as leveling or skills should be.
- Far less spam
- More user friendly options as well as helping everyone to understand the game economy to help prevent getting ripped off.
Ultimately a more enjoyable and hassel free experience for both the buyer and the seller.

With all due respect to you, OP, have you ever been in an AH driven game economy where bots run rampant like here in GW?
The economy will skyrocket because mass farmers will eventually get enough money to set the full price in the AH. Example:
People eventually got so much money in FFXI that they would buy out every item (say a shield that they farm) in a category for what ever price. After that they put all the items back up on auction for a higher price, and replacing the buy history in the process. Now the market has spiked.
Without an active item system in GW the only way to get said item is to farm it or bot for it, or buy gold for it. Without people with the crafting ability to spam the market the demand will never go down, and even then why sell your items for less when people are perfectly happy to buy it skyhigh?
