fun class to play, and that can solo and is wanted by groups

was wondering what peoples opinions were about the funnest class combo to play and that can solo and be wanted by groups as well

well for fun value i play as an ele/monk, dunno y i just like to own the baddies fast, and ppl on the whole want an ele in the group

If there is one outstanding prof combo for both party and solo playing,
I think it will have to be the Mo/Me

Mo/Me --> steal E from foes to use it fro healing partymembers
Mo/Me --> solo Trolls at droknars

My own personal favorite classes are Mesmer, Assassin, and Monk, in that order. All three can solo with the proper build and against the proper enemies. In general, Monks are the single most desired character type for groups, so if you want something fun that can solo and is wanted for groups, make a Monk. It'll also teach you what monks have to deal with for when you're NOT playing a monk.

Well to start with you have the monk
55 Monk
600 Monk
Monks are always needed by parties (except VIMWAY)

Then the warrior
too many to list but usually a Wa/Mo
Hard to get into parties as a warrior specially a wa/mo. Many people think they are noobs

Ranger
Barage ranger for many places

Ele
usually a nuking build great for farming ettins
Not to hard to find a group with an ele, usually

Mesmer
55 mesmer is only solo build I know, also hard to find a PvE grp as a mesmer. Mesmer almost always wanted in PvP

Necro
55 necro solo build
you can solo MM but hard part is getting first couple minions
Most grps are looking for a Minion master or Spiteful Spirit build

Assasin
Hard to find a grp with an assasin, too many noobs play this char.

RT
Can solo with not sure about builds though
Good grp finding abilities if playing a support type roll (IMO RT acting as protect with ritlord are better then monks, strickly protect though not healing)

Well that is a quick rundown in my opinion of what you can solo as and desirability in groups. Hope it helps a little. I personally have the most fun farming with my 55 monk and SS necro (dual UW and 3 man FoW)

I must disagree for I never had an issue finding a group with my mesmer

I personnally like Me/Mo pretty much can be back up monk in many a mission and hell precipice is so much easier

but as for soloing I never really soloed but I guess with tweaking my built I could probably solo some zone

and the funny thing is I got a group from LA to sanctum with a buddy using my mesmer and her warrior we succeeded fairly well

the mo/me build sounds like it would be fun, was just wondering if someone could post a guide to it as far as skills, attribute points and a general strategy on how to solo. thanx

Ritualists are great fun to play and are also very versatile, filling it for pretty much any role in a group.

They also have a few possible solo builds, search around for those.

I can't say I've ever had trouble finding a group with my rit.

Try one out :)

Lots of good information precedes my post.

For me personally, Mo/Me. You'll never have trouble getting into a group. :)

There are also a number of farming builds for monk primaries. :D

I like to the Assassin/Ranger combo u can solo cause you can allow your animal to tank for u and u can pull for ur group and when the creature gets close u can go melee on its A$$ with assassins r great for skill combos.

My personal favorite combination is N/Mo. Although it's not the best combination to solo with unless you are farming as a MM or something. Also, if you are a bspiker(like me) or some other build, not a MM, it can sometimes be hard to find a good group unless you get help from your guild or friends. Overall, even with those downsides, N/Mo is still my favorite combo.

My Favorite Charaters to play would be my Rit, and Fire Ele, followed my my MM/SS(hopefully BiP someday) then my War, Ranger, and my monk.

my personal favourites would be trapper and mes interupter. It's fun to play with them cause what u do is not just plain attacking the enemy!! I also like to play smiter in PvP I'ts verry funy to see people attack you and then they all die of retribution,holy wrath and shield of judgement combo it pwns;)

My favorite prof is without a doubt ranger. I love to Barrage, trap, being a runner and solo farm in FoW (made a guide on that one^^). I also love to farm on my monk but when it comes to 'real' PvE I'm way too lazy to be monk, thus my favorite thing to do, cept doing some 55/600 farming, is bonding :P

ermmmm, i am not aware of any class you cant solo with, as for funnest, i have none i like more than others, as for being desired...

ranger
mez
sin

in that order, are probably the most desired, not saying i agree, or disagree, or that in specific areas the ranger doesnt move to near top, or nec to the bottom, but i play all characters, and imho, pretty much fall that way

I like my E/Mo best (although I'm currently switching secondary to try stuff out)...

I've seen sins having trouble getting in groups... also any N not being an MM might have some difficulty...
But that's just from what I've seen

Rits rule, i got to lvl 16 in about 3-4 hours.....plus they are pretty versatile, making ok healers/ life stealers/minion masters (im talking a bunch of spirits and minions)
