Sometimes I wonder...

What is really going on with Play Nic or whoever they are. I just went to log in, and I got the server maintenance status notification. So I checked the server status tab, and it says all servers are up and running. Then I took a closer look at the date time on the server status page 9-2-06 at 2 AM. Huh??? Ummm today's the 7th. So thier server status page has not been updated in 5 days? It's the little things like this that make you wonder how much they really are concerned with this money making machine they've got.

Well it isn't the first time that it has happened. Several times I've complained about it, but what can you do really? Just gotta roll with it and move out, waiting patiently for the servers to pop back up.

sometimes i wonder if i could play the drums well, mostly because i feel i have very quick hands and could be all over the place like drummers normally are. i also used to play a few instruments so i can read music and pcik out beats fairly quickly. i'd also be a good drummer because i'd be willing to play in my underwear or other funny outfits like some of those kids do when they go out trickortreating.

i didnt mean all over the place as a bad, sloppy thing. i meant they have the ability to be all over the the place to get where they need to be.

but sometimes i wonder which AT heroes would make the best president. i dont think it would be blasters, cause they just want to shoot and nuke and thats not good for anyone.

To me, the AT of a hero is not the deciding factor. Of far more importance is their foreign policy experience and stance, as well as tax and education policy. An intelligent, academic type...... so tanks are out... ;)

For those of you that don't know, my opponent Razorgenius supports the mutant registration act. I find the MRA to be an abomination given that many mutants are using their "gifts" to help the general population of the world safe. And mutants aren't the only ones. Many of this nation's heroes have been the victims of scienific experimentations or accidents, been the creators or inheriters of wonderful pieces of technology, been exposed to the mystical arts, or even trained for years to become the outstanding defenders of Freedom that they are today. These Champions Justice, acting as Protectors of Liberty, Guardians of Virtue, stand as Pinnacles of morality. They Triumph over evil and bring Victory to the upstanding citizens of not only this country, but the whole planet.

If elected, I will increase funding for this nation's hero orginizations. Super groups should be able to afford to pay the rent on their bases. Indeed, the very building of a functional base can be prohibitively expensive. When I'm in the White House, this will end. My advisors and I have devised a health plan for heroes, making medical care far more accessible and affordable.

No longer will our immigration laws prevent foreign born heroes from coming to this nation and finding gainful employment. These foreign heroes have every right to obtain operating licenses for their super-vehicles. Non-natives are just as important in our fight against evil as American Heroes.

I stand before you this day to enourage all of you to go to your polling places on Election Day and vote for the man who will assist all heroes. To voice your support of the men, women, boys, and girls....even extra-terrestrials that provide us all with a better world.

Not so fast good citizen, or you will be doomed with four years of oppression and heavy taxes.

I would like to begin this session by saying that I am appalled by discussions between my opponent and others amoung the site saying that one Archtype would be a better president than others. As a scrapper am I considered less of a team player? Do I not say "Gratz" when you level? Do I not teleport to the hospital or base when I die? I believe that all players regardless of archtype or origin could make a good presedent with enough hard work and dedication.

My opponent claims that I am for the mutant registration act, but I nor any of my subsidiaries have ever expressed support for this terrible form of discrimination. While my opponent my try to dazzle you with lies and fancy speeches linking all of your home servers, I will only give you truths and facts. As your presedent I will work to rebuild the Faultline zone that has for so long been forgotten. I will work to reduce the amount of lag faced during those unique events, and I will also increase these events. As president I will also seek justice against the terrorist who calls himself a hero known as Statesman. I will find his Weapons of Mass Nerfdom. This will not be an embarassing search for something that does not exist, as we have all seen the dreaded nerf bat in action. It will be a swift capture of someone who has caused our heroes so much pain. My opponent promises to give our heroes better healthcare. I see no problem in our healthcare system. If a hero should fall in battle he is given the opportunity to revive in full health in a hospital. Instead, I will work to bring new Arch-types and Power Sets so that heroes of tommorow have opportunities that we were denied. The charade that has been the development of a university has gone on long enough. As president construction will resume at an alarming rate, and will be finished within the year. Finally, I too would make the immigration process easier for heroes from abroad. With the growing risk from the Rouge Isles it is key that everyone willing to fight can be here to defend our great nation. Lord Recluse can not be allowed to continue his advances toward Paragon City. His recent appearance in Pocket D, a neutral zone, caused massive casualties and was the wake up call we needed. In addition to foriegn heroes, I will encourage new and retired heroes to defend our city with more double xp weekends and additional end game material. Ok , this is going beyond weird, but Big, as a drummer who besides having a good job since I needed a paycheck, I played drums, my band just passed their 20 year mark and I was never out control, drumming prepped me to be a great tank( drummers are the micro-manager of a band, guitar players are the nutbags, I just had to stick to my routine, and keep the experience enjoyable for me and the bass player ). As far as political aspirations, tanks/defenders/blasters/trollers/scrappers could all do equally well, it's all about putting the brain in front of the arch, and all the candidates I've seen are easily intelligent enough to do that. The shots at PoW and Sportsgenius are meaningless, they are both very intelligent and above reproach. My vote is for TheJeni and I don't feel it's a wasted Vote, because she has to sort this all out and be the voice of reason, daily.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Death Conqueror, or, as i am known to my friends and allies, DC. I've come to talk with you this evening because I have been informed that there are several candidates attempting to run for the "Presidency" of this fair country we live in. I am here to announce that I will also join this race, and hope to become the next President of this fair world.

As was previously mentioned, candidate Path of Wrath's use of the different realities we live in in his speech was just a plea to the masses. Appealing to where one lives has never worked before, and shall never work. Path of Wrath indicates that under his plan, a family's rent would be reduced for their living area. Under my plan, such rent would be abolished. No longer would families become so poor after paying the rent that they could not afford the simpliest banner to display their pride inside their house.

Another candidate, one Razorgenius, claims that it is under his leadership that the part of the city known as Faultline would be rebuilt. This, I must say, is a lie. Faultline is already undergoing re-construction, and has been doing so several years. Although I do understand his point, I say that we move away from Faultline. Re-construction is a must, I agree, but there are more immediate areas of concern. The first is the area known as Perez Park. Once a lovely place to live, this place has become one of the more dangerous areas around. I say that we ask for volunteers from the city's large Hero population, myself included, and that these volunteers would round up all the villains, and arrest them all in one fell swoop, cleaning up Perez. I also move that more Police Drones be built, to keep the park clear for a long time to come.

The next area is that of the Crash Site, containing the fallen Rikti ship. This area must be secured, so that Rikti do not continually disrupt our way of life. I would ask that all heroes who are in their upper 40s to 50 move in to the area, and clean out that zone once and for all, allowing our scientists to access the ship. Why is this important? With the ship accessed, we may learn what happened to our fallen comrades, Hero 1. With their technology, we would be able to improve our own defenses, so that any large attack on the city, whether it come from the Malta group, the Circle of Thorns, or Arachnos, would be stopped.

Throughout the previous administration's term, several issues have popped up among the heroes. Some wish to fight one another to train, others wish to explore the city's history and obtain certificates of proof. These sides have clashed on occasion. To prevent this from breaking down into a civil war, I propose the following:

working with my Secretary of Badges, Ridgid, all badges will be moved out of a hero vs. hero and hero vs. villain zones, and placed in safer areas, to not cause conflict. Also, more badges will be created, to allow heroes to explore the history of our great world even more. For the player vs. player crowd, i propose that the area that the Hamidon controles, known as the Hive, be opened to all, so that villains and heroes together can defeat Hamidon once and for all. However, to prevent villains from entering our city, more police drones would be stationed by access ways, to stop them. Also, the alternate dimension, the Shadow Shard, would be opened to be a co-op area, so that we may work together to conquer the rularuu.

These are my plans. If you agree with me, I ask that you vote DC at the upcoming elections.

I really have not decided who I wish to have Das Carrot's support, but I feel the need to point something out.

Some remarks were made in another post about the process a fine hero has taken to get where they are today.

I am shocked that these two would immediately assume the worst of an individual who had but a simple question about the process of acquiring a cape. Sure he was level 50, but that does not magically give the hero knowledge of everything that occurs in the city.

I would have believed these two would have looked at the positive and potential of this hero, instead of looking at him as a problem and assuming the worst.

I suggest all candidates be wary of their comments and think of the greater good of this country as they make decisions.
