Need a good SS/Inv build to follow..

Does anyone have a build for SS/Invul at least to 30, hopefully maybe even all the way to 50? I just rolled one, I need help slotting, and what powers I should avoid and such.
So far:
Lvl 4
SS: Punch, Haymaker
Inv: Resist Phys, Temp Invulnerability

So far, the secondaries are all slotted with Damage Resistance, and the typical Acc and Dmg on my 2 primaries.
For level 6 I plan to take Jump Kick, and SJ for travel power at 14. Other than that, I'm pretty open, power wise. Never got a brute past level 5 before so I don't really know what I'm doing.
Any builds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Found this build, which I think looks great, but I want your guys opinion.

RE: Need a good SS/Inv build to follow..

Ok here goes,
this is similar to my lvl 50 ss/inv brute.

For SS, I would avoid hand clap, hurl, and taunt.
foot stomp is way better then hand clap. ur a brute and hurl is ranged it doesnt seem to mix well. it has alot of aggro so pulling doesnt always work and u dont really need taunt since most foes will want to beat on u anyway

For INV, You dont really need resist elements or energy. ur added defense in the fighting pool is better. not all foes have energy attacks, but all have smashing and lethal attacks, but if you do pick one, go for the energy defense.

01) --> Punch (6 slots) 1 acc, 3 dam, 2 end red
02) --> resist physical damage (4 slots) 4 def resist
04) --> Temp Inv (5 slot) 4 deff buffs, 1 end red
06) --> Haymaker (6 slots) 1 acc, 3 dam, 2 end red
08) --> Knockout Blow (6 slots) 1 acc, 3 dam, 2 end red
10) --> Dull Pain (5 slot) 3 heal, 2 recharge
12) --> Combat jumping
14) --> Super jump
16) --> swift
18) --> Health (4 slot) 4 healths
20) --> Stamina (4 slot) 4 end mod
22) --> Rage (4 slot) 2 tohit buffs, 2 recharge
24) --> Unyeilding (5 slot) 4 dam resist, 1 end red
26) --> Boxing (6 slot) 1 acc, 3 dam, 2 end red
28) --> Invincibility (5 slot) 4 def buffs, 1 end red
30) --> Tough (5 slot) 4 dam resist, 1 end red
32) --> Foot Stomp (3 slot) 3 acc
35) --> Stealth
38) --> Unstoppable (5 slot) 3 dam resist, 2 recharge
41) --> Invisibilty
44) --> Acrobatics (3 slot) 3 def buffs
47) --> Weave (3 slot) 3 deff buffs
49) --> Tough Hide (3 slot) 3 dam resist

Now my slotting may be off, so i think theres more to give out. dont worry about at which point to slot. i just spread them evenly while i lvl. i normally 6 slot my attacks and 5 slot my defenses. the fighting power pool is fantastic. dont bother with the medicine power pool. your dull pain power will handle that. unyielding is great, stops darn near all stuns and holds which you may be able to push off to later in the 30's when you'll actually really need it. i always go with the concealment pool, cause i just love stealthing. theres not always ppl on when im on. now the down side is that you'll have a whole lot of toggles, thats why theres end red on almost everything.

Oh and another thing, patron powers suck so id steer clear of those. i had mace mastery and i was not impressed at all. does less damage then punch and the web grenade has terrible accuracy. youll maybe hit 1 out of 10.

I hope in one way or another you get something out of this.
Good Luck. BRUTES RULE!!!

RE: Need a good SS/Inv build to follow..

i would use hurl to get fliers out of the sky. i have teleport foe as well but it can be interrupted. i focus on pvp and the fighting pool isnt necessary. tough hide gives better defense than weave w/o the end cost and also you already get tons of S/L resistance so tough wont be that helpful.

aid self works wonders but can be interrupted
i have hasten 6 slotted b/c its recharge rate is incredibly slow. also i focus more on accuracy than damage b/c in the long run more hits landed more than makes up for more missed higher dmg.. your attacks need a lil more acc and less dmg b/c more hits is better than no hits. (except for KO which i have 3 acc 3 dmg b/c its really more of a finisher).

i have a lvl 34 ss/inv myself and its great. i did lose to a dark/dark brute b/c of fear and their -tohitbuff b/c we werent using inspirations. maybe if i popped purples i woulda had him.

build it they way u want but you will find that missing your target sucks more than doin more dmg IF it hits. it really makes a big difference on your DPS. good luck with your build

As much as I love the power "Aid Self", I think that you wouldn't need it with Dull Pain. With hasten and just 3 recharges on it, it's up in a pretty quick amount of time. To me, brutes don't need heals constantly so I think you only need one heal to keep yourself going.

If you had the fighting pool, you wouldnt need aid self. I speak from experience. dull pain slotted correctly will give you the heal you need. with added defense you wont be taking as much damage so there wont be a need for aid self.

I usually never even use dull pain. I have reconstruction 6 slotted (3 recharges, and 3 heals), so it gives me a great heal and is up amazingly fast. Now I know hundreds of people will disagree with me on this...but I think you should actually just skip Dull Pain overall if you're getting reconstruction.

resconstruction is apart of the regeneration power set of a stalker not a brute. and no, dont ever skip dull pain. Its your only instant heal.

Yeah heh. I was posting all this stuff about regeneration for stalkers earlier, that when I came to this post, I forgot it was for brutes...so yeah, take Dull Pain :)
