you can go SS(spitefull spirit) necro
you can go MM(minion master) necro
you can go B-spike(blood spike) necro
there are very much builds on the build part of this site, just take a look.
b-spike is used for pvp and pve, it does much dmg quick.
hope this helps

Don't forget the battery necro. Perhaps less played these days but your monks will be absolutely delighted :)
If we consider bare bones builds for a necro, then the following skills define your play style:
N/Mo minion master
16 Death Magic
rest in Soul Reaping and Healing Prayers
* Animate [undead] where [undead] may be any of Bone Fiend, Bone Horror, Bone Minions, Flesh Golem {E} or Vampiric Horror
* Blood of the Master
* Heal Area
When something dies (watch your energy bar jump up), you raise an undead. Energy permitting, you spam BotM immediately followed by HA. BotM heals your minions but decreases your health. HA heals you back to full health and heals nearby team members and minions as well. Consider bringing 2 different undead raising skills - Flesh Golem + Bone Fiend is a popular choice. MM is strong when the opponent has the advantage of numbers but not necessarily strength, and conversely, MM is weaker against few, strong opponents and weakest against monsters that don't leave an exploitable corpse (e.g., elementals, enchanted, various ghosts).
N/Me SS necro
16 Curses
* Spiteful Spirit {E}
* Arcane Echo
* Parasitic Bond
Copy SS with AE. Spread SS, preferrably to clumped, fast acting enemies like warriors. If the enemy has hex removal capacity, cover each SS with PB. Some kind of energy management would be good in addition to the energy from SR. SS is strong against fast attackers and casters, weaker against slow casters and weakest against enemies that have strong hex removal capacity (e.g., Expel Hexes {E} on Jade Brotherhood Mesmers).
N/Mo battery necro
16 Blood Magic
some points in Healing Prayers
* Blood Ritual or Blood is Power {E}
* Healing Breeze
Cast BR or BiP on a party member who needs more energy (typically monks during a prolonged battle), then HB on yourself to compensate for the sacrifice.
N/* blood spike
16 Blood Magic
* Shadow (Lifebane) Strike
* Vampiric Gaze
Just use the skills in the given order. Typical elite for the build: Offering of Blood {E} to fuel spiking.
N/* FoC spike
16 Curses
* Suffering or Shadow of Fear
* Feast of Corruption {E}
Hex as many opponents as you can, then use FoC.
N/* aura bomber
16 Blood Magic (sup Blood + scar)
15 Death Magic (sup Death)
* Dark Aura
* Aura of the Lich {E}
* Touch of Agony
* Dark Pact
Keep DA and AotL up, then spam ToA and DP to induce massive AoE damage. Some kind of self-heal is advisable.
