RE: rad/rad

Post an idea of a build and some people will comment. The only thing I can think of that I ALWAYS get, is AM (Accelerate Metabolism)

RE: rad/rad

A Rad/Rad Corruptor is a good build to try out. Like was mentioned in the post above AM is a fantastic buff for yourself and the people you are teaming with. Lingering Raditation is also a very good debuff dishing out -Attack Rate, -Speed and perhaps most importantly -Regen (big help with AVs). Radiation Infection also a cracking debuff (-Defense, -Accuracy) the list goes on and on :)

While on the Radiation Blast side of things, pretty much the whole pool does -Defense.

All and All you'll be on to a winner.

RE: rad/rad

I made a rad/rad and got to level 14 before my last time card ran out and I forgot all about him lol. But anyway, I was liking the toon a lot and enjoyed playing as him for the four days I did. All the pretty green lights.

RE: rad/rad

Debuffs! There are a lot of them in the radiation secondary and they make a big difference. AM is a must. I don't think I've seen any rad corr without it.

I'm just starting my own rad/rad so I can't really say what is best but my friend has one and didn't concentrate so much on the primary, only about 4 powers from it, because she plays more of a team suppport role with her debuffs and heals. I am going the same route. Only planing on 4-5 attack powers then rest will be almost all of the secondary.

RE: rad/rad

I have a rad/rad corr at level 22 and I am loving it. It is my only villian and I only solo with him, but I have not had a more enjoyable time playing CoX with any other build.

The power that I found to be the best on the primary side is cosmic burst. The stun is amazing when fighting either multiple enemies or a single. The less damage that you take is always better, less often using heal is more attacks getting in.

The one power that I wish I hadn't taken was irradiate. It is nearly worthless, a pbaoe that does 2 damage a hit, totalling about 10 damage unless you get scourge. I can see it being helpful in a group where a lot of the enemies are at low life and one attack could take them all out, but there are other powers that I would take instead.

I also have not taken electron haze, not sure how worthwhile it will be. The knockback could be nice for soloing, but I find that comsic burst, and a lingering will keep me alive and away from the enemies enough to not have to rely on knockback.

AM, lingering, and radiation infection are all great powers from the secondary. AM speeds you up and helps you do more damage, as well as keeps your end use, which is low, even more managable. Lingering and RI together will stop you from getting hit for the most part. Their attacks are slowed and their acc is debuffed, so they will missed when they do get to attack.
Enevating field is one debuff that I have been looking at getting, the -res -dam would be very nice to have for those pesky EB and AV's that seem to hit you even with radiation infection on them, but I am not certain on that one yet.

Overall, I find rad/rad to be a very capable corruptor. Having soloed every mission that I have had, including all of the AV/EB's that I know about, and only dieing to one of them once.

Hope this helps you decide the powers to choose.

Hey Teenage, a good question came up here, how are you wanting to play your rad/rad? Team oriented or solo or both? This will make a slight difference on how you can build your toon. Let us know and more ideas will pop out.

RE: rad/rad

Personally, super jump is the best. Fly is safe but slow..oh so very slow. Teleport is good if you have a good computer that wont lag on you everytime you teleport(may want to grab hover so to stay in the air while teleporting), and speedy speed can be very limited on cetain landscapes. You're going to have a bit of a hard time getting around obstacles with super speed(eg Nerva's forests).

I think you should either get fly or Superjump. Don't get fly if you're really impatient about getting around from place to place quickly though

RE: rad/rad

Radiation is good but I never solo with him & try to avoid it as it is so slow & I'm pretty squishy even though Ghost Widow offered me a sheild. More fun in teams by far is my opinion. But rad/rad sounds good. As for travel speed I use to go with fly but recently respeced my stalker to super jump & found it to be so marvelous. The only thing that gets to me is in missions where I'm so use to flying up or manuvering myself around the caves particlary that map in the caves with cot 3 lvls of fun. But I do agree it is slow unless you get it with swift & slot it.

RE: rad/rad

Another thing that is good about fly is that you can avoid that melee damage that can take a heavy toll on you, like the Freakshow swipe attacks. Just fly high above and launce a series of Radiation attacks down whoever you're fighting.

Right. AM should speed up your flight time.

How many fly enhancements do you have on it?

:O

I only waste 3 slots on fly at the most. Usually I just put 2 ever since they made it so you can't be EXTREMELY fast or powerful if you put all 6 of the same enhancements on a power.

RE: rad/rad

Well, Fly only needs 3 SOs to max it out. And now, you don't need to put a End Red, because they lowered the End on it, a big plus! Now, with Rad, AM will speed it up as well. Now, if you are going to take the Fitness Pool (and being a Corr, you should), grab Swift. You can now slot Swift with Flight SOs to help speed up fly more. As you can see, Fly has gotten a lot of love recently, so it's not what everyone remembers. So slot Swift with as many Fly SOs as you want, no more than 3 though will let you get around pretty quickly.
