the puzzle peices fit

Recently someone posted some information about nightfall from the PC gamer magazine, the storyline interested me because it mentioned a 6th evil god wanting to return. This would be Dhum, the old ruler of the UW and responsible for the curruption of ToPK and the dragon festival atacks. But I think he did more.

**SPOILER**

Firsly we start with Tyria, he could have easily driven the titans to tell the charr to invade and corrupted the Visier. The Visier is a smart man, he was an advisor to kings and could weild the scepter of Orr. So presumably he knew what he was doing when he destroyed Orr yet survived. No normal person would have done this.

Now we go to Cantha, Shiro isn't acctually evil and killed the Emperor so the Emperor wouldn't kill him in a sneakier way. So then Dhum comes along and finds a powerful envoy to corrupt and does so. And I think Dhum, not shiro, made the abbomonations but I'm not sure. EIther way SHiro isn't actually that evil.

**END SPOILER*

RE: the puzzle peices fit

.....so would you also suggest that Dhum was controlling the old woman to tell Shiro about killing the Emp?

RE: the puzzle peices fit

Actually... according to my sources... The Evil God is Abbadon.

The volcano that spat out the 5 Magical Bloodstones was named after him.

-

From Myth: Abbadon is the bringer of doom, the archangel of apocalypse... Nightfall has an apocalyptic theme, ending the 3 stories.

Translation: Abbadon means Destruction in Hebrew.

During... The Dragon Festival, one of the Zaishen Acolyte's had this to say:

QUOTE
"These are dark times. Those creatures have spread a vile corruption through Cantha, though they are not unfamiliar to us. We Zaishen have encountered them before. If only my brethren could be here to fight this menace... alas, we are locked in a bloody battle we do not dare turn our eyes from."

"Despite our prior encounter with this foe, we have been able to extract little useful information. They enter our space from a plane of existance beyond our own realm, driven by force of pure chaos and destruction."

"In the lands of Elona, there is a vaste wasteland known as the Crystal Desert. My people, the Zaishen, have confronted these entities at the ancient Tomb of the Primeval Kings to destroy them where they enter our world. That they have been breached our plane at another location is grave, indeed."

I highlighted a big clue... "Driven by Destruction", Abbadon means Destruction in Hebrew.

(It also looks like the Crystal Desert isn't even Tyria, and is the Northern tip of Elona).

-

It does appear this Evil Lord has a knack of being able to Corrupt the Good, and in doing so, giving them unbelievable power in the process.

you're all wrong, the sixth god will be: Bob, lord of the TV remote, master of the beer stubby, and ruler of all things deep-fried.

Most of the story of Guild Wars doesn't even present itself just going through the missions and quests...

There's so much more going on under the surface... From the Exodus of the Gods, to the Cataclysm, and the first Guild War (I don't mean Prophecies - I mean the one Devona's Father died in) to the fulfilling of the Flameseeker Prophecies.

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/History_of_Tyria

GuildWiki have done a great job of collating all available information in the game, regarding the History of Tyria... and follwing the links from this page opens up loads of sub-stories that the regular player is oblivious to.

It is true, that the Missions story is kinda dull, but there are still lots of open stories that need closure... The biggest mystery of all being - What happened to Gwen?

RE: the puzzle peices fit

wow awesome find Gen!

Read this:)

Abaddon Is The "Beast" Who Ascends From The Abyss

In Revelation 9:1-11, Abaddon is clearly identified as the king of the evil spirits released from the Abyss. This fact identifies him throughout the rest of the book of Revelation. Twice specifically, and once symbolically, Abaddon is referred to as the "beast" who is to come up out of the Abyss:

REVELATION 11:7 When they [the two witnesses] have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the Abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. (NASU)

REVELATION 17:8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is to ascend from the bottomless pit and go to perdition . . . (RSV)

REVELATION 13:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea . . . (NKJV)

RE: the puzzle peices fit

This could perfectly fit into my theory...

Shiro Escaped to the real world as an Envoy trough TopK, probably with the Help of Dhuum, that's what the zaishen came to investigate, but yet even when Factions came out they revealed nothing... This could be only te start of a major cross-chapter Story...
I see Orr return aswell as Gaile hinted already that Orr Drifted into the sea instead of sank, like we all thought...

Very interesting speculation

RE: the puzzle peices fit

Although I'm kinda fixed on the idea of it being Abaddon, both Menzies and Dhuum have the perfect motivation to want to upset the Good Gods.

Menzies is the half-brother of Balthazar, and is in locked in combat in FoW, whereas the Chaos creatures of the UW, are/were minions of Dhuum, but Lore suggests Grenth killed Dhuum.

My initial theory comes from the assumption Dhuum is dead, and Menzies hasn't the time or space (always under the watchful eye of Balthy) to carry on this mischief.

Whatever the true identity of this "Outcast God", I'm looking forward to finding out in Nightfall.

If they do add to tryia (giving us accses to orr) there a fact that theres still a large island chain. so its easyer if they just add a few ships and let us be on our lvl 20+ undead killing way...and I thikn that would a good time to introduce dungens/going into buildings, unless Nightfall does that already lol. (the city of Arah was home to the gods so....it would have to be a VERY big city)

Now when you say "ending the 3 stories", do you mean there won't be any more Guild Wars? :(

I know you couldn't possibly know because you don't work with Anet (Unless you do! Mole!).

oh well

Nah, I got it from my mate Jeff Strain ;)

QUOTE
Nightfall is "an apocalypse", says Jeff Strain. "It's an endpoint." It will tie up some loose ends from Prophecy and Factions. But don't worry, Chapter 4 is in the works, and hints of what's to come can be found within Nightfall.
