pvp Energy or spines regen stalker??

which is a better all-around choice vs melee and squishies? energy/regen or spines/regen stalker?? thanks

Well from what has happened to me, Energy Melee kills pretty fast. You just hit them with AS, then stun. Stun does enouogh damage to finish them off. As for spines, spines are great because of the power Impale (a ranged attack). With my Spines stalker, I would hit them with AS, then as they were running, I'd hit them with impale. I don't think Energy Melee is better than spines and spines is better than energy melee, for they both have some awesome powers for pvp

It works like this:

Energy melee does more damage but lacks any AoE's since whirling hands has been replaced by AS

However spines is the AoE master of the set with spine burst, ripper and fling thorns. It has a ranged implae (though nothing like a corrupeters range!) Thorns is the least damaging of the set because of this, but the toxic included in the spines fools people into belive against this. Thorns are too rare because people dont know of their great potential!

Pretty much yes. Stun does great damage, so it's AS and stun. I see Energy Melee stalkers running around hitting scrappers with AS and stun and killing them in a heartbeat.

i know that some of the info in hero builder is a lil off and its missing a few things but it says stun does .06945 dmg (brawl index). what it does is a 15 second stun tho

I'm almost 100% sure that stun does more damage than that. Maybe that's the CoH blaster stun

EM Stun for Stalkers:

7.5 Smashing damage; 5.0 Energy damage; additional 12.51 Energy damage if hidden; 20% chance for additional 12.51 Energy damage if target is Held or Sleeping.

These stats are with no enhancements. Stun does Minor damage, however, it focuses more on Disorienting your target.

i would have to say both energy and spines are both great power sets, spines because they do extra toxic damage helping kill the foe quicker and the fact it has a ranged so that if the foe runs you can still hit them with impale. Energy because it just overall does killer damage, with a EM stalker you can pretty much 2 shot just bout every AT in the game (blasters, trollers, fenders, some scrappers, corruptors, dominators, MM's, PB, WS, and other stalkers) the only ones a EM stalker cant 2 shot unless poping reds, is a tanker, regen scrapper, and a brute.

i just created a spine/ninjitsu stalker and i must say its going pretty well, but it will never be able to compare to my energy/energy stalker. but thats just my opinion.

I am currently playing an Energy/regen stalker, and i have to say that stun is not your only option. AS hits for tons of damage, and pretty much any attack following it will finish them off. i have no preference, but it seems EM is more focused on single target damage, which is what a stalker wants
