| a katana/regen scrapper beat my ss/inv brute!! |

i was wondering how could this be? we were in warburg and i got raped! granted i was only lvl 34 and he was 50 we were still basicly lvl 38.. the problem was i could not hurt him and all my stuff is slotted with SO++. my KO blow couldnt put a scratch on him! i was like wtf?

Regen Scrappers are just bananas man, don't be too upset that you lost. My advice, if you want it, is to find some friends and jump that sucka.

well what might have contributed to his not being affected is that you have to remember he is level 50 even though he is exempted down to level 38 his slots arent. So although he couldn't use all his powers the ones he does have were slotted with level 50 so's and he probably had alot more slotted powers than you. It does seem a bit unfair. he probably had his defenses slotted up. Also he may have been running tactics or using inspirations.

Regen scrappers I always find are the hardest and longest to take out. He could have activated Instant Healing before he ran in to attack you or before you attacked him, so when you did do damage, he just regenerated in a snap.

I only ask why are you suprised? Everyone knows that regen dudes jsut never seem to fall. My advice, get some teammates, if possible a regen stalker and let them have it!

so me being lvl 34 vs the lvl 50 has alot to do with it? my bro has a spines/regen stalker maybe that woulda helped. also i like doin 1v1 encounters jst to boost me ego (being a villain muhahahaha)

If it was in Warburg, chances are the regen was running Momment of Glory( corrupters really love it when regens run that), what it does is increase defense to rather high lvls, while leaving the regen with a sliver of health. Also I imagine he was using divine avalance as well to boost his defense. Assuming you don't have any yellows is to just wait until MoG crashes, until making a serious effort to take on the regen.Other factors include him guzzling down a bunch of lucks as well which only last for 30 sec.
actual levels do matter in pvp zones on a number of factors,
-Inspiration slot, as you may have noticed when u exempt up to 38 you didn't get any more inspirations slots, the reverse applies as well, he has all of the inspiration slots he had at 50
-Slotting, as mentioned slotting doesn't get changed, example if he didn't slot out Integration for whatever reason until his 40's, exempted down to 38 he still has full slotting on it he had at 50.
-HO's-obviously you wouldn't have any in your 30's, where as as 50, he may very well be tricked up with them
No on your side, I assume you were either running rage the entire time with 1 accuracy, if not you would need 2 accuracies, also slotting rage and Inv both with to hit buffs does wonders in breaking through defense builds( as stalkers fully well know).

no he wasnt running MoG and all my attacks have 3 acc as well as rage and invincibility have 2 tohitbuffs
so in that case, if i had unstoppable he could jst wait for mine to crash lol

well i beat a ninjablade/regen stalker with ease and he was a level higher than me. i guess scrappers are a totally different breed. it sucks so much coz they can get conserve power on top of quickness so they basicly dont use hardly any endurance and they get their attacks faster...
i wonder how else to beat them.. dark/inv or ss/inv brute?

Debuffing always works....get a Rad Corr to come in and debuff the heck out of that regen rate and let's see how long he lasts. I have a Regen scrapper and that's something I used to always hate, when a Rad (anything) would join in to fight against me, things got tough real quick, with the regen rate slowed, I was basically a sitting duck, because I had no defensive shields at that point.
Just have to know what you're facing and the strengths and weaknesses. It's ok to bring in help to take someone down, heck, in many cases, that's the only and best way to do it!

if im doin a 1 v 1 i dont like relying on other people. i like doin 1 on 1 alot but if its more than 1 than team duels would be fun also. i jst hate how im tryin to duel someone and then the rest of his crew jumps me ( 2 katana/regen scrappers, dark/dark scrapper, illusion troller, spines/regen scrapper). they seem like a fearsome team to take down dont ya think?
if only i could find an MM (anything) and a rad/rad corrupter to team with me and my bro in warburg. his spines/regen stalker combined with my dark/inv brute and the others would be able to take on that other team i think..

My 50th ss/invuln brute can only get a regen scrapper to about half way befor I fall. They are tough as nails. As stated in a post before this, even if your brought down to the same level a 50th is fully slotted and has more SO's than you. His defense is uber. Best bet is to hope a stalker comes around or a dom to help you bring him down. Brute does not equal tank, your not a meat sheild with uber defense's, just have to take the good with the bad.
