hey, I was wondering, are there any tips and tricks for an ice-battle axe tank? So far, I have planned my powers to lvl 30, and as of right now i am lvl 10.
1-frozen armor/gash
2-chop
4-beheader
6-wet ice
8-chilling embrace
10-provoke (the taunt from the Presence pool, i got that one because i wanted the fear attacks later)
12-combat jumping
14-super jump
16-intimidate
18-hoarfrost
20-invoke panic
22-swoop
24-permafrost
26-energy absorbtion
28-whirling axe
30-icicles
any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

You are forgeting about some of the great power pools that will aid you in the long run. Probably the best power pool to get would be the fitness pool (health/endurance regen). And what about a travel power?

"what kind of tank do you want to be?" is the important question when reviewing this build.
if your going to be a pure team orientated tank, a few changes need made. if you want to be balanced offensively and defensively, not bad.
the major things i think need changing (regardless of your style of play) are adding the fitness pool and hoarfrost being taken so late.
being an ice tank, you dont need the fitness pool IMO because you have energy absorption. this lessens the need for stamina once you get it. you should probably still try and pick it up before 26 then possibly respec out of it.
hoarfrost will save your hind end and is too great of a power to put off for so long.
intimidate and invoke panic can be put off until later in the game, unless you want them for bloody bay PvP asap.
permafrost is unneeded IMO. and so is icicles that late in the game. you'll have enough attacks to have a high enough DPS (damage per second) without it.
unless you are playing a fire tank, there are too many good primary tank powers available early on to take a lot of powers from the secondary sets. you won't haev the ability to deal significant damage until close to 30.
now if you want to be a scranker, i'd have to think about it a lot more.

thx for the input, i am lvl 12 as of right now, and I am getting along pretty well without stamina, and I would be getting it pretty close to the time I would get energy absorbtion. I am skipping the fitness pool so far, i may respecs into it later. i have yet to even put enhancements into my powers, because i always just skip the training ones anyway, and without end redux enh i am doing surprisingly well. I am probably getting hoarfrost at 16, and putting off intimidate for a bit, although i am interested in pvp.
PS- the name is Olnir, lvl 12 on Virtue if you wanna team up :)

I don't think axe is a good secondary for ice. I think the best one is ice, or some other type of secondary that has some kind of group stun, like stone, super strength, or even energy.

I am going to stick with axe, partially because I am already lvl 12 and love the powerst, and also because I made it part of the character desingn. I am hoping to be the type of tank that can not only take a bajillion damage, but also dish it out, too. Thats another reason that I went wit battle axe, because of the great damage output.
