It's $14.99 a month plus tax. Money well spent in my opinion, but your mileage may vary.

You can purchase the game cards in the same place you would buy the game. They are for 2 months of game play, so it is around $30 for one.

Good catch, Sport. I mis-read that the first time also.
In answer to the question, yes, timecards are sold. You can purchase them online and, I believe, at game retailers like GameStop, and even Wal-Mart.
