Tons of players all downloading at once gives you that, seems only normal.

It's you lol, any wait I sporadically encounter lasts but a few seconds.
If you're referring to the download speed, I'm guessing the servers might be rather busy at the moment.

I hard a few guildies saying it was slow. But I have yet to experience any of the slowness.

When they did the patched that messed up hero's, I was downloading it at about 50KB/s, which is slow compared to my normal 800+ KB/s

I'm noticing the same thing game wide- that everything is taking a lot longer to load. The only explanation I can think of is that there are a lot more people doing the same thing because of the pre-view weekend. As they are still working out some bugs, maybe the slow load time is something they will have repaired by the time the game is released.
