It said in the other thread that there was some glitch with heroes taming pets. I guess it was that they could tame more than one.
I remember trying though, and only got one pet per hero (which was still really funny, but not on this level). They may have fixed the glitch by the time I tried though, or maybe it even showed up later.
In any case, I doubt you'll be able to do this once NF is released!

It might not work with any flamingos, I noticed those were troublesome flamingos, which are there for a quest in that region. You are supposed to shoo the flamingos our of the field, and there are a ton of them, but they don't shoo like that pig did in the quest from prophecies, so I never figured out how to do it. Maybe you are supposed to tame them all, who knows?

Took me a little bit to figure it out. You need to use /shoo, then they start running.
I tamed some troublesome flamingoes, but they didn't follow like normal pets, though.

Dang, I gave up pretty quick. I only watched the video once, but I'm pretty sure when they were all dead once and they were showing the pets in the party window that they were all named 'troublesome flamingo.' Thought I saw it at least, but if you tested it, who knows.
I can see how this would happen though, since they apparently didn't put in the code for hero's to keep pets. They are not allowed to, since if you zone into an outpost, it's gone. But you could tame them for a little while, so it probably just wasn't counting the hero as already having a pet, even though he did.
