| Who needs to BUY a flying mount? |
|
|

So I'm looking over the new BC druid spells and see that the rumors are true. We druids finally get our long promised flying form.
But why, oh why, is Blizz making us wait until lvl 68 and then only giving us +60% movement speed? I really think we should either get the form at lvl 60 or it should be for the full 100% epic quality flying mount speed. To tell the truth I was hoping our flying form would be epic quality speed and come to us as a quest reward like a paladin's Charger.
Still it will be great to see flocks of druids in the skies of Outland.

Meh, I'll be seeing even more nelfs than usual it seems.
But anyways, I think it would be unfair to give the flightform to druids earlier since I thought other classes have to wait untill 70? So why should druids get it eaerlier and just as fast?O.o
I was hoping the flightform to have atleast 5 sec cast time but 3 sec will do too. As long as it isn't instant, that would be a total pain in PvP realms. :P

yea there really isn't anything wrong with the flight form as it is. I mean the druids are still getting to fly before anyone else...

I don't want to give the impression that I'm not happy with a flying form. Druids have been promised this since the game went live and it is great to finally have it.
The only complaint I have is the idea that we get it late in the run up to 70 while still staying in the "normal" mount speed. Basically I would like to either get it sooner so it would be something real special to the game's most 'gimped' and looked down upon class or to make the form +100% speed and wait until 70 to get it.
You see if we get it at 68 then we only get to really enjoy it for 2 levels before we will be expected to get a +100% flying mount in order to keep up with the rest of the group. Kind of like with the cheetah travel form only more so. It was lots of fun when I first got it, but now I can't remember the last time I used it for more than a rapid get away (and with a 3 sec. cast time I won't be using 'stormcrow' for that).
I wish it would come in the form of a long quest chain like the Charger or Dreadsteed that goes to the Paladin and Warlock classes. There has always been something wrong to me about 'Druids of the Talon' riding around on beasts when we could become beasts. When I first heard we were getting a flying form I got my hopes up that it would replace the need for a Nether Drake or Wyvern. Of course the +100% speed for flying mounts that I've heard could be wrong, in which case I'm complaining for absolutely no reason.
But all things considered I'm very happy with the new spells and totally blown away by the new talent tree. It looks like Blizz finally understands the problems druids have in endgame and are taking care of most of the major issues. As a moonkin player I am personally thrilled with the new 'Balance' tree. It has almost everything I ever wanted in there. Still no AoE instant attack or aggro dump, but those are minor issues compared to the power increases and mana recovery abilities.

I was thrilled when I saw the new Balance talent tree! It makes me very happy to see that the Balance is getting some love. Maybe people will stop calling me OOMkin when I'm in town now.

That's cool! I know a couple of my Druid friends that are going to be having a blast with this. From the looks of the picture from the link, you will also get to gain a bit of altitude while doing it.
No other class gets to randomly fly around the maps like that. I'm soooooooo jealous! My Warlock should at least get a broom!
"Is that the Hunters pet?"
"Oh crap, that's a Druid!"
-Hunters raptor attacks from it's hiding place-
-Druid drops from the sky and goes feral butt whup on em-
Believe it or not, there are uses for the stay command on the pets when you are being sneaky!
