Marvel MMO

I was just on Superhero Hype and they have a report that Cryptic Studios and Microsoft studios have joined forces to create a MMORPG based on the Marvel Universe!!!

Can I get a wOOt, wOOt!!!

Was just looking at Cryptic's website for more info and they have a nifty trailer for download.

Might be the one game that rips me away from CoX universe. Can't wait to see exactly what that ends up like. I used to play the old original Marvel Superheroes RPG - guess where the original Firespray came from? :o)

He was originally called Fireball - the name was taken on CoH but he's basically an old RPG character in 3D.

Going to be a kickass game IMHO.

Cool lil intro, nothing to see of course but the whole down note for me, XBox 360. Maybe if it comes to comp play then we got something but until then let me have my City of Superbeings.

Why!!! Why Windows Vista! lol This just means I will need to invest some money.

I too play the Classic Marvel Superheroes RPG Firespray, thats right I play it, not past tense. *laughs at his own geekiness*

I can't wait for this to come out though, even to see some of the footage from it...I will definitely be watching intently for developments.

Did they finally release Vista??? Must've snuck it through the mail slot while we weren't home!?!lol

I can't wait for this game it'll be cool, only down note is the whole 360, vista bit!

theyd have to get vista sorted out first, at the minute my rc2 wont play games coz aero is hogging too much resources (on a brand new core2duo/x1900 setup that is!)

hate the bloody thing, makes me pine for good ol' redhat

When all is said and done, it comes down to gameplay (which they didn't show at all on the trailer). That and this whole XBox/Vista thing. I don't have and wasn't planning on buying an Xbox and there's serious problems with Vista (licensing agreement and such).

I have to agree with that. Plus, wasn't Marvel pissed with the people of Cryptoc Studies and NC Soft for making a game that allowed players to make charcters that looked alot like liscensed comic charcters? I think they're making this game to try and lure people away from CoX, and get in on the online game market.

Plus I wasn't impressed with that trailor. Sure it looked good, but we've all seen something like it on at one point or another.

And like Yen said, it will be gameplay that decides if this game will be a success.
