Hello fellow gamers. I have recent been made leader of a SG that was already going. our base has some teleports already working. I tried adding a beacon to a teleport that had no beacons on it at the time. but my problem is that it says the teleport room needs to be controlled. not sure what to do. I spent 2 hours trying to figure it out. is there any info on how to build a SG base or can someone maybe give me some tips on what to do. I mainly want the base for teleports at the moment. later get a medic station.
New to the SG base build, any info will be helpful. Thx.

i think you have to have a item that gives you power and one that controls the power (or whatever it controls).
there is a little thing that actually does both of these for smaller bases. i dont remember what its called though.
My name is Jean Claude Van Damme and I dance for you...

I think it is the power and control station(s) that you should be looking for. The price in prestige is I think 25k.

ok I'll check for that tonite. The base is one of the small one. the pwoer for the teleport is ok, its just the control of it is unstable it said. I'm going to play around w/ it after work when I get home. anyone else w/ input on the matter would help. its not easy getting enough prestige for the items & I really don't want to mess up & waste prestige.

There is the new economic version for this... I don't recall the name. This economic piece provides a limited combo of energy and control at an economical price. This was designed by the devs for upstart SG's with little prestige to get up and running quickly.
However what is being described here are the energy and control variables that come with the base. Solid SG's can use the full blown Mainframes, and transformers, etc. which provide greater quantities of the needed energy and control.
Each teleporter, Med Unit, salvage table, or storage device is powered with a mix of control (related to computer interface/networking) and energy (which is simple transformer electrical power). Since this is a base you can't just tap into the city power grid... you are a stand alone fortification so you have to supply your own resources.
When you enter the base design mode, you'll notice to bars with a couple of stripes. The one stripe shows availible energy or control, while the other represents the amount currently being consumed by the base.
In the base item details you'll see details as to that items energy/control consumption.
So that long winded definition basically leads to this ... you need to buy a control unit and place it in the control room to increase the amount your base has availible, this will allow you to make the teleporter functional.
My advice would be to hover over the energy and control bars before you place items for a little while, until you feel comfortable with the placing and power consumption varibles.
Have fun ---- hope this helps!!

TY, I did look at those bars you are talking about & saw that the control consumption it way off. just didn't know if that was for all devices in the base off of a control unit or something I had to use for each individual teleport.

It's a lot easier to run out of control than power.
First, to get that much in your base, the economy package isn't going to power everything, but it is a very good deal for control. Bookshelves and Databases are the best deal if you can already afford the main control system, which is either a mainframe or a magic axis.
If you can't control it with one control system and 4 accessories, you need to expand. There's two ways.
First, you can expand to a plot size that permits a second control room. That's the more costly option, though.
The cheaper way reqires you to unlock the next more powerful control system. You get this by having your SG take sidekicks in SG mode until you get the SG badge for mentoring. Then you can place a supercomputer or orbits of control. They cost a truckload of prestige to place, but it's still cheaper than paying rent on a monstrous plot.
There are also some control accessories you can unlock and build to attach to the larger control systems, but they require salvage to build.

Lord, I understand what your saying now, I talk w/ a friend of mine as he walked me through what I needed to be searching for & found it. but I think the base is to small in plot size to add to control room. so I was just going to sleep on it. to see what I can do. but all in all. I can't do much until we get more prestige I think. we only have 300,000 prestige. but working on that & recruiting.
***on infinite sever if any one is interrested***
-------Hint, Hint------- look up toon, amazonite
I'm on just about everyday trying to get to lvl 50.
well, I think, I kinda get the idea of the base now, playing w/ it the past coulpe days. will learn more as I go.
I may be asking some more questions later, thx for the responses & input. It's always helpful.
P.S.-- looking forward to oct. 13th, GAA day in the arena.
Brimstone Titan, I'm calling you out. I want you. (LOL) I have taking brutes out in PVP.
Just wanna see how good cuttter really is. I like the way you talk smack. :D
