I found out something interesting about repel recently regarding PvP: it has a small chance per pulse to drop toggles. So any build which is based largely on toggles for defense and dam res, this would be kinda like getting hit by a transference (which incidentally is of the same set!) Is this news to anyone?

Well I remember going into PvP with my SR scrapper and a Force Field MM hit me with Force Bolt. I just thought it knocked me back, but I found out that it had somehow knocked off all my toggles. I've been in PvP a lot with people with Knockback powers, and probably have been knocked back like 100 times, but this was the first time it shut off my toggles...must be very rare.

Yes, this is true, but the chance is small. Even so, this would be a great PvP power even without toggle dropping just because it can strike so often. You just have to manage the end cost very well. 3 end reduction enhancements and a 3-slotted Stamina are a must, but then if you use it to trap a foe in the corner, it will be even harder to get out of than if you used Hurricane.

It is so annyoing.. Yes it drops my toggels..whatever.. what really just annoyies me about this is 9 times outta 10 I just get repled up for x amount to long a time. At least AS I die, I respawn and go at it again.. With this.. i just sit there, rather float and float and float..blah..just kill me plz.
Sure 4 BF's and I can get out. But c'mon 4!!!!! Thats BS.
The other night I got AS'ed while being repeled...Now that just pissed me the F' off. Stoopid stalkers..

hehe...... another good reason I have Repel in my Fire/Kin Build. It comes in at a very low level and I swapped out Siphon Power for it because I have Fulcrum Shift for the uber buff.
It's often a competely dropped power because Knockback is so hard for so many players to manage. That, and considering that most of the Kinetics powers turn your victim into a generator like Transfusion and Transference, Repel is almost counter productive in PvE.
It's a decent shield to have running for my Troller in PvP zones. Most only keep or use it for two things. PvP or pure ammusement. (Sometimes that can be both!)
I never actually knew it had a potential to drop toggles....... MWA HA HA HA! I do now!
